No, very very unlucky today. Absolutely battered Bristol. Hit wood work 3 times. Sending off changed it. Chris Wilder has turned them into a really attractive and attacking team, and gets the best out of his players. Lee Johnson got Bristol up to 3rd. 10 matches unbeaten away. Doing alright!
Yes lost to Millwall, Fulham and now Bristol City. Only point in their last four games came against Birmingham 1-1 at Bramall Lane.
To be fair they played very well, even with10 men , however , the sending off cost them dear & I don"t think his manager will be very impressed with him
Which of their players are they likely to lose in January? Sharp isn’t a young lad anymore and has had unsuccessful big moves before. Clarke’s playing well and scoring goals this season but he’s 32 now and SUFC are his 19th club. Granted his last two seasons have been good at 15 and 20 goals in the league for Bury & SUFC but I still can’t see a big club coming in and offering him or SUFC a fortune so I think he’ll stay at the Lane. Coutts looked immense this year but he’s out long term. Even if they sell the kid Brookes I would expect it to be on the proviso that he remains at the Lane for the rest of the season as opposed to the buyer plonking him in their U23 squad. In short I think they’ll come out of the January window in a stronger position than we did last season having seen our squad decimated.
The injury or their best player Coutts has showed how much they relied on him. They haven't won without him and hopefully that continues.
