As I posted at half time, we are our own worst enemies. We gift teams goals. If you haven't been, just look at the highlights for their first goal and build up to penalty. In the second half, the finishing beggared belief. We created more chances in 45 minutes as we have in the previous 3 games. Pott's holding his head after missing a easy tap in, Bradshaw heading over the bar unchallenged and various players wanting an extra touch or to get it onto their better foot. Bolton were there for the taking in the 2nd half. I haven't seen us have so many sights of goal in a long time, but having created the chances we were really laughable in front of goal. Not a great deal of belief on show in the final third.
I've just seen the goals. Reminds me of the 13/14 season when we just let teams go through without threatening a challenge. The first and third especially are laughable. At the other end, wasteful. **** at the back and arguably worse at the front at the moment. I'm sure we won't be as generous at either end all season but letting players (a full back no less ffs) go by without a challenge has to stop. At the attacking end, stop pissing about and have a shot/cross when there's an opening. The unnecessary extra touches make we want to tear my hair out.
That's my take on it. Either that or the glut of chances took our forwards totally by surprise. It was like a free buffet and they'd forgot to bring their teeth.
