there'll be a cardboard cutout of either Conway or Beane in the stand on Saturday. Hope it's not too windy or else it will look like they are nodding their heads in approval.
Oh, so it's quite a complicated business then? Some on here are giving the impression it's a very simple transaction, like buying a coffee...
Differing from 6 to 8 weeks to 15 months according to that article, but you would expect that wouldn't you?
Who said it was weeks away though? Did the club make a statement to that effect, or was it reported in a newspaper?
We understand that our takeover and that of Newcastle will be delayed until discussions are completed at the five day 19th Congress in China which started yesterday. One item on the agenda is the £560 billion being spent on foreign investments and presumably any money being committed outside of China in the future. It was on Newsnight last night that General Xi Jinping has made no secret that he wants China to become the richest country in the World by 2020 and to do that they are auditing what is being spent outside of the Country now and in the future. Although an American citizen , Mr Lees Company New City Finance who are involved in our deal, is based in China as are the group looking to take over Newcastle, so it's unlikely that any decision will be forthcoming until the Congress concludes. The speculation is that it could be Christmas before the deals can go through, if of course they can be shown to be viable business propositions that will indirectly benefit China's overall World standing in the future. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/19th_National_Congress_of_the_Communist_Party_of_China
