Only caveats, they must have played 100 games for us, and no subs, just a starting 11. My starter for 10 (in the promotion 3-5-2 system, partly because that was the best I saw us play) Watson Eaden McCarthy Futcher (sweeper) Taggart Barnard Hourihane Redfearn Glavin Aylott Currie Enjoy the reminisce!
I'm of the Opinion that every player who played over 100 games for the Reds is a legend, because no 2 supporters will pick the same 11 players.
(3-5-2/5-3-2) Watson Eaden Hassell McCarthy De Zeeuw Barnard Glavin Redfearn (c) Hourihane (Get) Rammell (on) Dyer
Butler Joyce Archdeacon Futcher Dezeeuw Hammell Thomas (Gwyn not Geoff ) Redfearn Glavin Currie Rammell (would have been Cooper but he didn't make the required apps)
These would have to play: Heinz Muller Stones Shackle Hunter Hassell Hignett Glavin Redfearn Hammill Hirst Ward
I have not got the official stats, but I do not think that Muller, Stones , Shackle , Hunter, Hignett , Hirst or Ward made 100 appearances
Who's bothered. I think Hirst made about 15 appearances. Still one of the best players I ever saw at the WELL.
I thought at the start of the thread it wanted your legends eleven, with the legend having played at least 100 games, thats all
Think you about right there & I would have him in my all time eleven with Trevor Aylott his partner up front
