If only there was some way of listening to it again.... He says "obviously we haven't got the paperwork in on time, I think. Or an error with paperwork, but that's all I know." Not clear whether he's referring to us solely or both us and Swansea.
Not what he said. ''Honesty we've not got the paper work done in time'' 9.47/48/49 if you have Ifollow.
we were told that it was all done but Swansea were holding back till they had their new players sorted. I also do not think that Hecky would not have had a contingency in place just in case either., Sorry Hemsie I can only believe it was their end 'dicking' around.
He isn't going to come out and directly blame Swansea. He isn't like that. I'm sure he wouldn't anyway as it may muddy the waters in case we go back in for Oli in January.
One of my all time favourites by Waylon Jennings.! https://www.google.co.uk/search?sou...k1j33i22i29i30k1j33i160k1j33i21k1.Uuk67kUZqeQ
Let's just say - if it is Barnsleys fault - and after putting all our eggs in one basket regarding McBurnie - then if I was Mr Patrick Cryne I would be looking for yet another Chief Executive. I've said it before and I'll say it again - McBurnie would very likely be the cream of the crop when it comes to the new signings. It would be like missing out on someone like Hourihane- but saying 'well he didn't pull many trees up at Villa and wasn't a regular player for them'. Swansea are Premeirship - and McBurnie gets game time with them. McBurnie is a huge huge miss for the club. But we'll never know. We might get just half a season - which ain't enough time really for Hecky to get the best from him.
We shouldn't have ever let ourselves get into the position that we would wait until the last min of the window anyway. But what's done is done.
Erm.. Transfer deadline day. Try to do a late deal on a player, delayed for whatever reason. Paperwork submitted soon as poss I'm sure.. I hanker for the good old days of broken belts, wonky panini stickers and yucky mayo in McBasturd burgers...
