was gonna turn his phone off, but had no signal anyway. Hero. https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2017/september/hecky-roundup/
Theres no way that whole thing wasnt masterfully co ordinated by Whitey to hysterically and accurately annoy hemmsy. A statement from the club as requested in which he talks about another holiday with no phone. Bravo that man.
Hecky saying 'we have more strength in depth'. Yes - it's easy to see that. Only one thing that is likely to be missed this season is the loss of someone who can cross a ball or shoot like Hourihane. But you never know - one of the players brought in might surprise us. A very interesting and exciting time to be a Barnsley fan.
Brilliant as usual. Don't think the club have ever communicated so well and so openly. Good for Hecky having a few days off too. Recharge those magic batteries. Makes you proud. Keep up the good work reds.
I thought it was a great interview, very positive and optimistic. I agree that the squad is an unknown but has the potential to achieve a good league position this season.
Hecky is a very good down to earth spokesperson. But IMO I think Mansford was the best spokesperson I've heard from the club. He came across on the radio as being very friendly and also importantly he generated interest in the club. We are not hearing anything from Ganaye.
And I saw Whitey was on holiday last week as well. It's a disgrace that the club allow the staff their statutory 5.6 weeks a year.
The plan was to catch up with Paul today once he returned after a short break following a busy first month of the season; to get his thoughts on the transfer business done over the summer and to continue our tradition in this department of getting as much information out to fans as we are able to. As a media team we feel like we deliver on that, we believe we publish good and frequent content, be it physical or digital and whilst we take all feedback on board (positive or otherwise) we are never going to 'react' as such to someone on a forum. We are supported by over 10,000 home fans at Oakwell and many others at home and abroad who maybe can't get to games etc. To think we act upon one fan request, rather than trying to satisfy those 10,000+ is silly really. On behalf of myself and my colleague in media, we appreciate that many enjoy the content/output and we will always strive to improve, to get even better. Take care.
You.mean.in posts like this Bewildering. what do you want the club to announce on a day like today Breaking news, doris the tea lady has just popped to the co-op
I'm sure the interview was always planned but the phone comment? Brilliant anyway whether it was deliberate or not. If you are taking requests any chance of an interview with the head groundsman in an upcoming programme like the one you did with Beth? (Which was brilliant) And if you do would I be able to suggest a few questions for you to ask please? Ta
Maybe so but also Mansford didn't really give a toss about us . Hes just a career man and will move from job to job pledging his allegiances to his new employers and saying what the customers want to hear .
