Interesting topic ...whos not to say that the new owners might decide to up sticks and build a new state of the heart stadium plenty of land around town.. Now that would divide the bbs....i for one would embrace a new stadium
Barnsley people meets Chinese culture. Absolute car crash waiting to happen. I've met several Chinese business people and there is an art to it. From holding the business card and studying it to the exchanging gifts, to the hand shake. Never known anything like it with any other nationalities. But get it wrong, show insincerity, be too bullish or impatient and they can take great umbrage. Could be taken by us as light banter and humour, Could be taken by them as disrespect.
This is very true. However they do have their own sense of humor and respect hard work. Im not sure the big issue is the owners culture and nationality, its how willing the Barnsley fans are to support and back change. Knowing our culture the ground would be called, Barnsley Footballs Ground, because that what it is. Bit like Barnsley Library. Im all for holding onto our heritage, identity and culture but I'm equally if not more so interested in the future, our ambition and modernizing our club. We cant moan at being let behind when we hold so tight to the past.
