It appears that the takeover is at an advanced stage. If it does go through I'd imagine it will be completed by the end of the month.
Well, you chickened out in 2004 after we signed Steve McPhail, so you 'll chicken out again if it does go through.
If theres even a shred of truth I doubt the competence of a board that wait til the end of the transfer window to take over..
I wonder if it'll be a quiet goodbye from Mr Cryne. I doubt he's the kind of guy to want to organise a goodbye parade for himself, but I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate the chance to say ta ra and thanks for all he's done.
No one should forget what he has done for this club. Saved us at a time no one else wanted to know and everything since a true bfc legend in my eyes.
This isn't a criticism of Patrick cryne but the idea that no one else wanted to know is rubbish. Peter Doyle wanted to know. He didn't have the money but he did TRY to save us and that's before you mention the thousands of fans who gave anything they could to try to save us. A lot of people wanted to know, the difference is Patrick is fortunately a millionaire with the disposable cash to actually make a difference but that doesn't mean he was the only one who cared.
Even if it happened today probably very little we could do transfer wise. Would be more likely to be panic buys. If it does happen we just have to hope we have enough to survive this season.
But if both parties know when it will be completed then don't you think funds will already be in place for recruitment
