Now if im not mistaken..PC went on record saying that PH was being made Head Coach ... ( the answer and biggest clue yet Phil......HEAD COACH )...this freed him up from scouting duties and the other things that MANAGERS do...(most managers identify the players that they want approach the board and the board work their magic)...most clubs do this. Even Robins when he was here did this..even though the first 3 he signed he didnt have a transfer budget. although the Don did put one in place eventually ..( ive wrote about this in the past ) Prior to this the club identified players, in fact Blackwell walked away from his interview when Shepherd highlighted the very fact saying weve got x amount lined up...hence Davey got so many in so quickly... That said we are all aware that there is a panel now who identify said players and thus go out and get them, whilst PH has an input he is not soley responsible for the players he is given to work with..His role is HEAD COACH (Phil) he coaches them... its not that long back he was saying that he was doing other peoples jobs and he couldnt get on the training ground to do his own job...or have you forgot that ( Phil) and there my fellow poster is your answer that shoots your post to bits regarding PH has had the most money, the club have reverted back to their old ways with a new system in place for recruitment ..the players that he then coached along with the rest of his team have seen all their hard work sold off... Davey had most money spent on his team a lot of which was wasted in my opinion. Tha boils mi **** at times phil lad...
Well. Seen as he developed the squad to earn the club even more millions I think he deserves a bit of a kitty. Even if it's nowhere near what he's managed to earn us.
Hecky has spent millions, but he's not spent anywhere near the money that the club has received in player sales. It's all part of the plan. Develope a 200k player and sell them for 2 mill. Then sign a 600k player and sell them for 4 mill. Things will only get better.
Forget those 2 Count up the rest since he turned the jokers of league 1 into the form team and win the cup
When he took over we were in rou prime. Just got through to jpt final and were running over teams. Like he said at the time. He said at the time, we just keep things like they are. Everweek the same message.
Famous line in only fools and horses. Non so blind as those that won't listen. Can't be bothered with thi Sithi.
No idea of the accuracy here, or their data source, but interesting indication of our net season by season fees spent v received just the same. Pinnock probably cost either 500K or 1 million as Dulwich Hamlet received 100K as their cut from the deal. Local paper wasn't sure if it represents 10 or 20% of the fee. http://www.transferleague.co.uk/swansea/english-football-teams/barnsley-transfers
