I'm not sure maths is your thing that makes 15 players. Football teams tend to play with 11 players. That makes an entire team and a half.
OK, so I said Cryne is probably trying to make sure we have some money to tide us over in bad times. Suddenly that's turned into I think there's nothing in between selling everyone and not having a club? I'm sure there are some people like you and Jimmy are trying to make out, I'm just really not one of them.
Oh, so now we're just talking about any old 11 players. They don't even have to be the 11 players who were part of our first team on a specific match you chose from two seasons ago as you've just said yourself that we still have some of them. You're really clutching at straws here trying to make something that doesn't exist.
Roberts /Mawson/ Bree/White Watkins/Scowen/Hourihane/Morsy Winnall/Fletcher Aye any old team... And that's just half the story.
I'm not saying you are saying anything of the sort. But you are trying to claim a point by saying we have not hold sold a team, when you know full when what Jimmy C means.
I'm not denying we've sold a lot of players or that we didn't exactly play great today. I've no idea what that's got to do with me saying I think Cryne wants to put some money aside for a rainy day though or you accusing me of going to extremes. I'm probably the biggest fence sitter of all people who sit on fences. My view on things: we've sold quite a few key players, we've spent some money on new players, we're keeping some money in reserves. It is what it is, no point getting angry or upset or overly emotional either way.
To be honest, I've haven't a clue what he means. I do in terms of us selling a lot of players obviously but not with his 'so do you think the only 2 options are...' question as I think everything has been very much in between the two extremes. I've seen a lot of posts by people claiming things on either end but I certainly haven't been one of them.
It pretty much was to be fair. We've lost Bree Roberts Mawson Yiadom Watkins Scowen Hourihane & Winnall. If you chuck in the key loanees we lost in Fletcher & Kent it's a full outfield 10
Yes I know, I was being pedantic as Jimmy said that apparently I think the only two possible things in the entire world is selling the 'entire team' or 'going out of business' so my point was that we haven't done either so obviously not.
That's fair enough in any other business if you liquidise all your assets it's pretty much called asset stripping. We cannot survive in the division below without financial input from the owner. We are less likely to attract a prospective new owner in the division below. If it's not raining it's looking distinctively cloudy. On a positive note we have got together a formidable league 1 team.
It was inevitable that we were going to get off to a bad start. Our coaching staff are drilling the new recruits with our methods/expectations and this takes time in any job. There's bound to be mistakes and misunderstandings at first. Not everyone is at the same stage either due to late arrival or fitness issues.
With the greatest of respect but aren't we going over old ground on this one.? Didn't we sell Bree, Roberts and Mawson because we received offers we deemed too good to turn down.? We let White go because he was injury prone and Watkins, Scowen, Winnowt and Hourihane allegedly turned down the new contracts they were offered, because they knew they could earn more than we could pay them elsewhere.! Looking at the reports from today's games, Watkins missed two chances for Norwich that would have won the game for them, Winnowt although fit, didn't even make the Wendies 18 man squad and Bree and Hourihane were unused substitutes against Hull City. Hasn't Yiadom said he's going to see his contract out so he can move on at the end of the season for nothing or have I missed something. ? Still think we'll regret keeping him in the team when we know deep down he'd rather be elsewhere.! In my view it's never good for team morale , you need every player 100% committed to the Club and it sounds as though, like those who left after refusing new contracts, he's not.!
