    Thing is, if Yids goes then we need a right back and a left back. At the moment we have two options for each because Yids can do both. If he goes we're left wafer thin in both positions and will have to pay two sets of fees and wages out to replace (false economy or will we just not bother?). That's even assuming Fryers turns out to be better a defender than his past suggests.

    Whoever we buy, I can't see any plan to play them at centre back, I'm presuming it's to be a back up right back to McCarthy once Yiadom goes

    Yids is going of course, hes the latest to get greedy and turn his back on us. So lets hope we can sort this out as soon as possible, for about £2.75 mill with extra bonus clauses etc.
    Id want over 3 mill but we might not get offered that.

    Wouldn't call him greedy for wanting to do what's best for his himself and his family and play in the premier league. It's up to Barnsley at this point to decide if we want to let him see out his contract. He's done nothing unprofessional

    No and I didn't say he had, and I agree we'd all do the same if given the chance. But it still comes down to greed him refusing to sign a new contract like this.

    Or he sees a club selling all its best players and heading for a relegation battle? While money will be a factor. If you lookat it from a footballing perspective he has reasons to leave.
