    Villa lost 2-1 today to Shrewsbury , bet managers hate losing friendlies because of the comments that are bound to come from fans, win 6-0 its only Shrewsbury or Grimsby ,lose to them god forbid

    I've just read one of our own saying "disgusting result, refund the fans" hopefully it was tongue in cheek, but you never know with some.

    After losing to the Hungarian team last week, someone on Twitter said, we shouldn't be losing these games, friendly or not.

    If we picked a team to win the games and made winning the be and end all we would probably have gone and won comfortably in both games, but people forget that we took enough players for a team in each half which is always going to alter the game.

    It's like I said in another post, we play to get match fit and to try players out. It would be great to win every game, but it's probably bottom of the list of priorities in preseason games.

    absolutely,its all about getting match fit in time for the new season and the "gelling/bonding" of the players. It also reveals the parts of the game we need to work on.
