Market the **** out of a special edition programme and then not order enough stock. Pissing money away
Today's programme was a special edition 20th anniversary programme looking back at the promotion to the premiership. The club advertised it and made a big deal for the being a bumper edition. Then promptly sold out due to insufficient stock levels.
Yeah, they'd sold out when I got there 2:45. I also never managed to get an away shirt after that was sold out last September. They need some serious work on their purchasing strategy.
Not one for surplus stock our club. Rather lose sales then risk having a few left over of something or something that might take a while to fully sell out.
Really! you really can't believe it. I don't believe you I'd have been more surprised if we got it right
Thing is, I wonder how much each one costs to print? It's go to be somewhere in the pence region, so selling just one extra at £3 could cover having plenty of left overs. As I presume we'd have sold more than just one extra programme had we ordered more, then we'd still make a profit even with lots of left overs.
We ordered a lot more than we thought we'd need. But obviously not enough. It's difficult to judge. But yesterday saw unprecedented sales. I apologise to anyone who missed out and we are trying to get more in store asap. Ta.
I'm certain as a business they will have produced and sold an ammount that they were happy with. Are you suggesting that they should have printed. More and been left with some. Would you have been prepared to underwriter that risk. Or are you happy for a. N. Other to if you're prepared to underwrite the the clear risk. If the answer is yes then I'm sure someone within the business will be happy to discuss that x with you
Here you go........ http://www.ignitionsportsmedia.com/...hampionship/barnsley/page/3/?add-to-cart=5615 Some will balk/whinge at the P&P of £1.70 but I'd guess you could weigh up the fact that for that you get a mint copy delivered straight to your door against what you may have brought home from getting one at the game, sticking it in your back pocket whilst you sit on it for two hours, spilling Bovril on it and then losing it on the way home after drinking a gallon in t'pub !
Good job you don't work in customer relations mate. Not happy with the service buy the ducking company. Sent from my iPad using Barnsley FC BBS Fan Forum mobile app
What risk, that they could be out of pocket? He wasn't talking about ordering everyone 2 each lol. Although my kids were behind a guy other week who bought the last 8 programs fecking 8 lol. And they couldn't get one
The risk with Bern left with some. I would imagine that given the cost benefit analysis that will have been carried out a sell out is a massive success
Selling out when you could have sold more isn't a success. Being left with some programs but stil making more than you would have had you sold out of a lower quantity is more of a success
