Do you have any one track albums or EPs and if so what's your favourites. Mine are:- Edge Of Sanity - Crimson (40:00) Sleep - Jerusalem - (52:00) Gorguts - Pleiades Dust (33:00) Not sure if technically they are really one song as they all seem to have parts which are too distinct from others but still great to listen to.
Ah not a song CT but a track that runs the whole of side one. I also think side two maybe unbroken as well not sure
No it's not mate. His follow up Ommadawn was similar although it had 'on horseback' and in dulce jubilo as stand alone tracks. Edit Actually there was an album between TB and Ommadawn
One of my favourite songs of all time. Think the full length version is around 17 minutes. Love some of the longer ambient remixes when I'm working, I did think "Little Fluffy Clouds" had a 20 minute version, but the longest remix I can find is 10 minutes. The 22 minute version of "Autobahn" on "Concert Classics is fantastic. I now really want to find a copy of "This is Not What Chill Out is About" by the KLF. Two tracks at 30+ minutes each For heavier stuff, "So What" by Ministry is immense.
If I had to pick just 1 I'd go with 2112 by Rush - side 1 is all 1 track 21:00 minutes long (they missed a trick it should have been a bit longer at 21:12 shouldnt it) I've a few classical albums that are all one track as well - I particularly like Romeo and Juliet - Prokofiev and The Planets - Holst but I am not sure that's what you meant. (I've also got Tubular Bells -side 1 and side 2 are unbroken - I think but its not in the same league and I haven't listened to it for decades)
Spiritualized 'Pure phase tones for djs'. EP of a series of tones at varying frequencies. Not sure how long it is, will have to dig out the vinyl when I get home!
Loved Spaceman 3 (was in the front row for their last ever gig at Reading), but never got into Spiritualized.
The 20 minute version of Little Fluffy Clouds is great. I have it somewhere I will upload it for you. The KLF songs I have a mate who is a completist I will see if he will stick em on YouTube
There's a 20 odd minute version of Low Spark of the High Heeled Boys by Traffic that I'm pretty partial to.
Blimey those tracks last longer than your celebrated "hiatus"... As a flipside, much prefer early Pixies style, two minute tracks with barely a second between em.
I've got a Napalm Death Peel sessions EP with 4 tracks of 3 songs each on one side running to 5:40. The second side is a bit longer, running to 14 songs and 13:20. Not listened to it for a while, but sometimes you need to blast out the cobwebs
Made me get that out. I have all the vinyl peel sessions. That's probably the least played but it's grown on me.
