What stings is the club have purposely set this up. The reason we are in this pickle is 100% the clubs fault and they put us in it with a smile on their faces while (at least on here) everyone grins merrily at our January points total assuming all will be well. We would have been in the play offs this year if the club weren't so greedy.

Agree, no lack of effort, and we were unlucky. But I thought that was a bit of a one off compared to how we've played of late. The amount of quality we've lost from the squad since the play-offs is genuinely upsetting. Never known anything like it. Yes, we'll always be a selling club, most clubs are, but the amount of players we've let go... I don't know any other club that does that. Maybe if they're on the edge of financial meltdown, but I thought we were OK after the John Stones money.

Are you saying they weren't aware that they didn't bother to put in an offer for morsy, offer key players with contracts ticking down more money and then allowed the snakes hourihane and winnall to talk to other clubs? I.e. They have purposely set it up for short term gain ignoring the long term strife as we lose a lot of quality we can't replace. Don't delude yourself. It's already been stated we won't be using it to spend outside the normal income levels of the club
sammy the snake had a release clause for 500k in his contract,there is absolutely nothing the club could have do to keep him here,they simply do not have the finances,he wanted out and to be honest who could blame him,he's now earning six times as much at wednesdays. what is disheartning tho,is the whole january transfer saga,its like a fuckin game to some people,but when you are on the receiving end its terrible,to have the heart ripped out of your team is shocking. the whole set up of the game is so unfair its beyond a joke and unless we can get a really wealthy investor nothing will ever change for us and the merrygo round of relegation and promotion will continue.
That's a new one. If that had been the case, the club would have issued a statement saying so to defend their position.
