A lot of players will be deemed surplus to requirements and either let go or loaned out. I can see most of the following getting the chop: Armstrong, Jones, Tuton, K.Jackson, Kpekawa, White, Kent, Lee, Janko, Townsend, Cowgill, Templeton, Elder, Evans, Hammill. Plenty of players will be touted by other clubs too. Watkins & Scowen will inevitably walk when their contracts run down. Our 2 CBs will have prem clubs crowing again. Then of course if/when this happens we'll have to go out and get replacements. Including signings for the U21s & loans etc. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if it's at least a 12 in 12 out job. I'm not saying we're in a mess or anything, this is just my observation.
Always going to happen as we have done so well. Robo angus and Yiadom will be on clubs radars too I expect. The most worrying thing is no ceo as yet.
Poor Hecky. All his hard work undone. He has to start all over again trying to build a team. It's just so unfair !!! The directors should hang their heads in shame.
Well what name would you give the collective group of: Cryne Watkins Taylor Yer can call the group what you want for me.
I'd say including loans we will need to get 15/16 players in which needs to include someone with the potential to replace Hourihane. An absolutely massive ask.
It is a big ask. We should be in a good position to recruit though, if we can keep Hecky & appoint the right CEO. Every year in the championship will always be a challenge for us. Players in lower divisions will see our record to develop footballers & we have the chance to do OK again. Mawson now looking a complete player in the top flight.
But they didn't spend a dime, refusing to splash the cash on a Bradshaw or Gregory and opting for our old philosophy of hasbeens & forest rejects. Let's not forget that last summer Fletcher, Isgrove, Chapman, Toney, Williams, Smith, Brownhill, Mawson & McCourt all left.
That might happen before the seasons end. Very worrying times ahead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This It's a challenge to sign a lot of players, but if players at lower league clubs would want to sign for one club as a 'stepping stone', there can be few better options than ours
Ifs, buts and maybes We might sign loads of brilliant players in the summer and get promoted next season Obviously Hecky is great, but our policy doesn't change. When Johnson left, we just carried on; there was no change to it. Our best signings over the last few years have come in regardless of who the manager was
A left footed dead ball specialist who plays in the same position and is renowed for his set pieces & long passes. Doesn't sound like a Hourihane replacement at all
