Thought about going until I checked the prices yesterday and thought it wasn't worth the risk that I get held up at work!
I was re thinking it after Saturdays performance but nah not paying 36 quid on a Tuesday night, probley would have if it was a Saturday at 3pm.
Thats shocking then, they spent all season telling us we were a small club and we'd get relegated straight back down and they wouldn't because they had experience at this level. There a poorly supported, 2nd rate set of fans, who support a glorified League 2 club and watch a 4th rate side.
This sums Rotherham up perfect^^ I used to like Rotherham, but they have spent 2 season's in 25 years in a higher league than us and now they have gone all wednesday and it's back fired they will be down before me xmas tree.
Just another indication that football fans are being turned off the game by the ridiculous prices. When I first went to watch Barnsley at Hillsborough, we were in the middle of the Miners strike. Yet I remember us having fans in both tiers, the North West Corner, and part of the South Stand. Now we're scraping 2000 for a game that undoubtedly many more would like to go to.
I agree it's shocking but that's because 500 sales is still 500 too many. Whilst fans will continue to pay any old price, clubs won't get the message. We've filled that shithole end before when reasonably priced, so with the price increase they have shot themselved in the foot with an half empty away end.
Didn't they take 3k on a Saturday afternoon last season under warnock when they beat wednesday 1 nil and that was same price 36 quid!
I thought that as well but we've sold more than that so it must not have been I'm assuming it's about 2.5/3k
Most people slag Wednesday and United off for being obsessed with attendances and being the big i am. But then do the same to Rotherham and Donny !
