I'm happy that you like reading my posts upthecolliers but i'm not sure what you mean. I just post things that I see.
brilliant. i fcukin love this lad. my hero. roberts at fault for a goal they didn't score. favourite two players bree and morsy were brilliant. **** all mention of the bloke that assisted all three goals, or either of the goal scorers. cracking work lad
We all like your poste Phil! Light relief after a loss seeing what team you would pick! Rodriguez, Templeton, Williams, Janko and Armstrong were your picks. Nothing if not hilarious. If you don't want people to just laugh at your complete lack of any kind of football knowledge why don't you put football manager down, take off your **** tinted spectacles, and see what supporting a club is all about - supporting those who play for our team. You are a parody of a bad football supporter. You think your a better supporter because the tax payer funds your trips to watch Barnsley. But the irony is you aren't a supporter. You're a critical, negative, ignorant bore.
Hope you've not lost your sense of humour mate. I don't think people are really having a go at you, we're all entitled to an opinion. I think you're right about Oakwell by the way, the team's natural game suits being away from home, with less than 50% possession hitting the opposition on the break etc. So why don't we play the same at home? Let the opposition have the ball more instead of us passing about at the back. The problem with that of course is that the crowd would get on the players' backs - well some of them would.
A few points here. Sometimes I will put things on here for a number of different reasons. Sometimes It's what I think and something I will say to friends in person and sometimes I'm jokeing. I'm really not too fussed by the comments if they aren't too personal. The players aren't going to think everythings good. They understand people will look to criticise at times. They will find it better that people look a things to improve on than the people that will always say, everything was good today. I'm commenting on something that did happen. We can't now think we won and everythings okay because if you do things are going to get worse very quickly. Heckingbottom mentioned again yesterday that you've got to aim for perfection so he will be looking at these things for certain. He'll be at them a lot more than I will on here. The peak of the mountains to be the best team they can be. Are they that yet? a lot way off.
That's fine, as long as the same people look to praise at other times. Players responds to praise too, when they do well.
Hecky got it badly wrong yesterday, if we played Julio Rodriguez & recalled Templeton & played him at left back we'd have won by at least 5 goals
Your last paragraph is typical of why so many people disagree with a lot of your posts. The most glaring thing that you lack is a sense of context mate. You seem to overlook the fact that we're one of the poorest neighbours in the street, and that our players have just stepped up from lower league football. These lads won't ever play to their full potential as a Barnsley team, as some will leave for better things and bigger bucks, so I don't think we're far off being the best we can be at all. These really are better times to be a reds fan than you think Hemmy G. I've got 38 seasons experience of watching the reds to compare with, and year on year football becomes richer and more competitive. We're doing great as a club, and a team. You need to lower your expectations because they're not realistic. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
I don't think players leaveing Oakwell should be seen as a negative and that things are going to get worse because of that. I think Barnsley are looking at a few teams across Europe that look to this model too FitzTyke2. One teams in England Southampton have sold and lost lots of players in the last three or four years since they looked at the younger model again in league one. They have grown year on year since this with competeing in Europe season 2016/2017. The club have got it wrong and let contracts go below the 13/14 month mark which puts the club at big risk of losing players. Done right selling players is the way the club will grow. Done right and the Saints way you sell bring a talent like Mawson in for 250k> develop him> sell him for 4/5 million pound> put half into the club and spend half on 2/3 players to improve the team> devlop them> Sell one or both for a big profit> bring in another 2/3 players in> ........
Who said letting players leave was a negative and things will get worse?? If you understand what the club is trying to do, why have you got such a downer on the things? Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Just short of two years ago, Barnsley decided to implement the development plan. It saw Danny Wilson leave, Johnson in, and start the plan with real purpose. I'll admit my own scepticism about it, but happy to have been proved wrong. So far, it's reaped rewards in both financial terms (Mawson) and football terms (promotion). But with the level of competition we are up against now, to use the mountain analogy, half of the championship are at the top of Ben Nevis, most of the Premiership are climbing Everest or have reached the summit. We are pedaling up Holme Moss into a head wind. But moving forwards all the time. You're right about Southampton recycling players. But along with developing players, they've also spent £84million in the last two years. That's a pretty good backup plan. I've been watching Barnsley for 36 years. Our league position this morning is pretty much where we have averaged during that time. To be there in 2016, especially given the shambolic state we were in a couple of years ago, is very sweet.
Also, selling players on isn't exclusive to this regime. As you well know, we've never kept hold of our best players. It's quite funny that back in the day it was seen as the club having no ambition, and now it's "part of a plan" Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
It's cos ya quick to criticise certain players who are on your 'hit list" but never give praise when they have a good game.
