If he were to survive for say, 30 years, that would be £1.5 million. Surely one bullet to the head delivered by a kind beneficiary would cost about 50p. Any volunteers? Form a queue. Come on then, lily livered happy clapper liberal softy do-gooders, tell me he wouldn't deserve it. Why should he live?
I think I'm one of your lily livered happy clappers. Jo Cox was one as well. As is her husband. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maybe it'd have helped if there were a few more lillylivered happy clapper liberal softy do gooders about to point out to Thomas Mair that a bullet to the head isn't the answer to problems
His brother hasn't murdered anybody. Why should he be forced to suffer? Why should Thomas mairs family become additional victims like Jo Cox's poor husband and child are? Next you can add the huge costs involved with the death penalty. Probably far more than keeping him in prison. Now add in the fact that you open the floodgates for mentalists and suicidal people to go out and kill knowing that their 'punishment' is the death they are happy to accept. I haven't got the balls to jump off a bridge. I keep backing out. Instead I'm going to go and kill somebody who has wronged me and then let the police kill me, I can't back out then. There are a lot of people who WANT death. How many do you know who WANT life in prison? The solution to the costs isn't to start topping people, it is to strip prisons back to basics
Same price to keep him alive as we paid for Mike's Heron, the latter-day version of Rod Hull and Emu. On balance, the four years I spent watching him make prison seem like A Very Good Thing.
Wow. Just wow. You don't get the irony that you advocate capital punishment in the name of someone who was completely against it. Financial aspect is also wrong. Not that price should come into it. My liver and propensity for general cheer is also irrelevant.
Reso you liveried liberals should not complain if taxes have to rise or the NHS is short of money. I for one would welcome back capital punishment and the castration of rapists.
That 50 grand will largely be made up of all the private companies charging "services" no doubt. Will include proportional costs of food heating lighting etc and all the overheads etc. Not to mention the bonuses and shareholder dividends that may be added to whoever owns and runs the prison It's just an easy way to make it sound even worse.
If you are at the head of the queue and prepared to pull the trigger yourself then your opinion seems to me worthy of respect.
The murder of an MP is no more or less of a crime than the murder if anyone else. Are advocating the death penalty for all murderers?
Was just about the say the same, I occasionally deal with public sector tenders and some of the figures that are accepted are staggering. I'd suggest it costs the taxpayer £50,000 a year, but nowhere near that to the company actually delivering the service. I disagree with a lot of Corbyn's politics but I do agree with his policies on renationalising a lot of this stuff, a lot of MPs no doubt have a vested interest in these services being delivered by private companies which is why there are such feelings towards him. The ECML was nationalised for five years and put a billion quid into the treasury, it was then given back out the private sector for a relative pittance.
During which time it was also a pleasure to travel on with adequate numbers of well-motivated staff, good policies such as sourcing food products from towns on the route and more low priced tickets. Now its worse than dreadful with the awful Virgin in charge with cuts in staff, price increases and low standards. Anyway, back to Mair. As far as I'm concerned the wishes of Jo Cox's family are paramount and to me the only ones that matter in this sorry episode now. They have been so dignified and have chosen to take an approach towards Mair that reflects the way they feel Jo herself would have wanted.
not this ******** again. do you actually know the cost of EACH execution in the state of California? it's over $300million. million - not a few pence. unless of course you want to expand the two tier justice system we're already sliding towards?
so because he is a human he is spared the rod.... then why are animals not spared the rod too.... when a dog attacks and bites the outcry is for its destruction is screamed for... the owners are often devastated, but no its a dumb animal, forget rehoming/training etc animal councillors no just put it down... like any other animal that appears to go on a rampage. sorry guys but these dumb animals breathe the same air as I do and are not given the same as "MAN THE WISE" and this sickens me. The worst parasitic infestation the beautiful planet Earth has ever suffered is Homo Sapien and Mother Earth will be well shut of that species.
I'd be for bringing it back in cases like this and Lee rigby's killers and Huntley ect ect...... will never be brought back though cannabis will be legalised before capital punishment is brought back.
Whole life tariffs seem pointless to me - I would bring back the death penalty for certain crimes. Things have moved on significantly since the Birmingham Six and other infamous miscarriages and provided the evidence was overwhelming - such as this case and the killers of Lee Rigby then I'd definitely restore Capital punishment.
