...from the East Stand lower (nr North Stand) whilst not the best view, it looked a blatant barge into him by their defender...or was it, as the so called football experts often say 'the defender showing his experience'...which loosely speaking means the defender cheating.
Imho took him out as he ran past. Penalty. Only thing I can assume is ref decided that CH didn't have ball under control so no foul . Sent from the darkest recesses of a poisoned mind.
Buxton blocked off his run, but Conor went down a bit too easily, and theatrically. I'd have been disappointed had we given away a penalty for the same thing.
Blatant penalty for me. Had it happened outside the area, I've no doubt a free kick would have been awarded.
He always does. I often wonder how many genuine free kicks we've been denied because his theatrics sway the ref in the wrong direction.
The Highlights show last night gave us some good coverage from multiple angles and that incident was a clear penalty. You just have to look at the defender's face and body shape. He knew exactly what he was doing and he got away with it
I would have been livid had that been given against us. Conor angled his run towards their player, and went down incredibly easy. #TeamsLikeBarnsley
For me it was a penalty player deliberately took him out but think Hourihane cost us by the way he went down, and possibly because he's getting/got a rep
It should be a penalty. But they are rarely given we never get those. But if we are playing a big team we sometimes get them given against us. I was more annoyed at the non red given to their guy who cleaned out scowen If that was not an out of control lunge I don't know what is
I posted about this earlier he was chasing the ball down (keeper got it in the end) and the defender clearly and blatantly body-checked him, no attempt to play the ball just prevent Connor from challenging the keeper, I think he had a decent chance of getting there first as well. Clear pen for me.
It's irrelevant if he doesn't have the ball under control, a foul's a foul wherever the ball is on the pitch
The defender realised he had passed it abit short and only had eyes to block connor getting through penalty for me.... the ref didn't have the balls to give it though

Agree pal - was trying to emphasise with the ref's thought process Sent from the darkest recesses of a poisoned mind.
