Have you checked on what formation Burton have been using at home this season? You seem to mention a 5 at the back in maybe a 532? This isn't the case from what games i've seen them play.
They have been playing 5 at the back, check their forum They play: Akins - Brayford - MacFadzean - Turner - Dyer
From what i've seen they've not . You can see the system on the youtube video against Birmingham but i've not a clue who a couple of the players are. It was O'grady Ward Atkins Dyer Irvine Naylor Palmer Turner Mcfadzean Brayford McLaughlin I'm not sure if Naylor and palmer are they right away around. They were decent at it too. Irvines a nice player. Aussie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0955m3ZJpY4. if you stop that on 1.32 you can see the straight lines really well. Still can't make out who's playing on the right though edit. going with the ginger on the right so naylor. Palmers in the middle
No offence but from what you've seen yu are better able to describe there formation than their fans. My mate who works for Leicester still stupidly thinks they play 4-4-2. I did try to tell him that all the coaching staff were wrong and that the actual team know nowt but he wouldn't have it. Folks are weird.
Stats say's very different. Look at them this season without the Japanese international. For the Birmingham game sky were all over the formation. Be an interesting game. Seen it's a sell out which means the standing will be full. Hopefully with the drinking ristrictions in Burton it will help
They played the same formation on the 26th Aug against Derby and a few days earlier against Liverpool.
I will tell Simon to inform Claudio next time he sees him as they all seem to be under a misapprehension. Yes should be good I'm very much looking forward to it. Can't resist terracing. Though t be unrest it wouldn't surprise me if it was another nil niler.
So three games out of 17 they've played that, pretty sure we've played 4-2-3-1 in three games this year, we still don't regularly play that formation
Leicester wanted people to think it was all simple last season. The only time he got touchy was when people pressed him on mahrez okazaki roles. He didn't like it. Didn't like they people and then teams could see what was happening. That defence wall at times then that quick counter with an amazing pass accuracy caught teams last season. Very good. Keep telling people we can't do x y or z.
My cousin who's a Burton season ticket holder says they generally play 532 at home but have played 442 a few times.
Ah but did he pause a youtube video at a specific time whilst simultaneously having no idea who some of their players are? (Sorry Hemsworth but your reasoning really made me giggle in this instance.)
Can you tell me who every player in another team? I don't think for one minute that they've not played this formation for most of the season. I watched the game which i've already said and they weren't playing anything else but a formation they've played and are very confident with. The commentary team spoke about it on the night. Look at the video linked Jamdrop. You can clearly see the clear lines apart from O'grady coming inside and beating former BArnsley defender Shotton to the ball. atkins and O'grady swap. I was watching it knowing I would be watching Barnsley play their in a few weeks time and thinking, it's going to be a challenge for the full backs. Do they play Kpekawa at left back? and when they go long swap bree and Mcdonald around. This worked really well against Atkins at the start of last season when Smith and Nyatanga swapped and it worked really well. Nyatanga won pretty much everything in the air. L Atkins could have been a dancer. little bit of extra knowledge for you Jamdrop.
