...were a bit more measured than this jockey's in Australia this morning! Yendall gets explicit after Flemington success By Peter Scargill 12:40PM 29 OCT 2016 Australia: Jockey Dean Yendall caused quite a stir on Saturday after declaring he had "a raging horn" live on television following his success on I Am A Star in the Myer Stakes at Flemington. Yendall, 32, had just partnered I Am A Star to victory in the Group 1 contest on Victoria Derby day at Flemington and was clearly pumped up by his win in front of a crowd of over 90,000 people. However, it was television viewers who were treated to some evocative imagery when Yendall was approached by a mounted interviewer from Channel Seven and stated he had "a raging horn right now". The jockey was called in by stewards to explain his comments after they were picked up on social media. He was warned about his conduct but no further action was taken against him. Victoria's chief steward Terry Bailey told News Limited: "What do you expect when you have a microphone thrust in your face straight after a race? It is a time when emotions can get the better of you." Sexual imagery has come up in post-race interviews with riders in the past, with Mick Fitzgerald famously saying winning the Grand National on Rough Quest was "better than sex".
