I received a letter with the same information on Wednesday. That diagram should have been on the site Tuesday.
As usual, after the match, I had a coffee in the car with the bloke I go to matches with, and his young lad before even moving the car. Normal routine for us. The thing that did make a difference was the opening of the top gate onto Grove Street. Which isn't a revolutionary idea, used to happen all of the time up until around 18 months ago. So I'd guess the number of cars leaving at the bottom of the car park was reduced, although at 5.35pm, there were still cars waiting to get onto Pontefract Road. A couple of Grove Street residents were pointing out that they thought it was closed to traffic after the game but what were probably players/club employee cars were being allowed through. There's no way this system will work on Tuesday evening with 5,000+ Geordies hitting the road too, albeit no town traffic. Still think the solution should be to go back to what we used to have - top gate open, someone directing traffic at Grove St/Pontefract Rd junction. Whilst I can't knock the club for trying to resolve the problems that exist, I think they have to accept that some of it is of their own making.
Well I saw a car that had been allowed to turn the wrong way at thr bottom of the carpark and was blocking others, I also saw a few drivers arguing. Looked like a farce to me
I didnt get one either. I presume the op meant to say they wrote to car park season pass holders. Sent by a one-legged pigeon
