http://mobile.swfc.co.uk//news/article/2016-17/fly-vip-with-the-owls-to-cardiff-3357871.aspx Expensive for the every day fan bit a good offer for those that have a bit more spend. Cuts out alot of travel and you get a fair bit in the deal.
Yes. I think it might have been a Boxing Day fixture from memory, before they started to localise them. Seem to recall the price being £50 at the time (didn't go, but remember it being advertised).
I remember a mate of mine got embroiled in that Rotherham fiasco also to Plymouth. Bloke ran a bar and did all the "bookings" and actually did a runner with all the dosh fir the flights and everything
I think he got tracked down and promised to refund everyone. But I don't know if he actually did. I actually read through the website forum giving a running commentary. as it started dawning on everyone when the pub was shut I couldn't help feel sorry for them. Edit. He actually got banged up http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/rotherham-landlord-jailed-over-millers-scam-1-6014112
Lee Mills was the scoundrel who ripped them off. According to the BBC the club and the brewery paid for the fans travel. Edit. I didn't see the link.
Good idea that, whatever they charge supporters will probably cover a lot of their costs. Logistically I'm not sure how beneficial it is to first travel to Doncaster, go through the stuff you have to in an airport (granted it'll probably be quicker than usual), fly to an airport which isn't even in Cardiff and then travel to Cardiff. A train would probably be quicker. But as a one of experience it would probably be quite good.
If you have a spare couple of hours (yeah I know) it's for want a better phrase a good read on millers mad if you find it. Excitement turning into concern and then panic and pure anger.
Dem massives have come a long way in 8 years... http://metro.co.uk/2008/10/31/wednesday-players-pay-own-train-fares-to-palace-94356/ ...now they get the fans to subsidise the travel.
