    Since discovered that the reality is far worse.

    Why is it that these people are celebrities for being celebrities? Done nothing of any virtue, just famous for being famous.

    I went into work yesterday morning. There are a bunch of guys who love their football there. Nobody so much as mentioned the England game. Not a single word.
    Such is the level interest in the national team has sunk to. Despite, or maybe because of, the constant overhype of players by the likes of Sky everyone is utterly jaded by their constant inability to live up to their fragile reputations.
    I remember as a kid in the 70s away internationals were hardly ever on tv. We'd cling onto a radio to listen to some crackly commentary. We cared. These days I can't be bothered to even turn on the tv.
