and almost instantly Man Utd seem to get enormously better..... we stick weith the 'same old,same old' and we play them same drivel.... 2 against Malta is simply not good enough for me.... especially when Scotland put FIVE past them.... and away at their place at that too. Disgraceful.
Rooneys past is best. Is Glen Hoddle is dad bragged him off all game. Theres some good players in the England squad but the trouble is we have not got a manager with a good enough staff to make them play like a top class team.
no mate what we do not have ...... is an England manager with a pair of balls.... one who will pick the best team and not be swayed by the dinosaurs that are the FA. Until we get in a manager with those great hairy balls, and allow him to run wild and free in the job, then we will be a second rate International outfit.
Exactly. People just can't wait to have a go at the national team. Whether it's Henderson, Rooney etc (excluding stones). Reading this board tonight compared with most of the media it's like the BBS watched a completely different game. Put your biases behind you folks and cheer the chuff up. Not defending how sh*t England are, but I reckon Malta would have fancied themselves against Scotland so gave it a go and ended up conceding five, whereas against England they might want to avoid getting embarrassed. No idea if that was the case, didn't see either game.
What about those that WANT to like England, but find ourselves wasting 90 minutes of our lives watching underachieving wasters boring us to sleep? It's not about wanting to hate watching England. It's about hating watching England be *****. Suddenly people care what the "media" think when they say beating Malta 2-0 is a good result. We are rubbish. I miss getting excited about international matches. Would like nothing more than to enjoy watching England play. Like I do in cricket or rugby, and any of the Olympics. Trouble is I can't support people earning millions of pounds playing against school teachers and only looking marginally better.
