    Really pleased for them.

They missed the experience of Hales and Captain Eoin Morgan today along with the world class Joe Root but still got the job done.

Two excellent debuts by Ball and Ben Duckett. Really pleased for them especially Duckett that will really put pressure on Englands most experienced player Eoin Morgan who surely must have been watching today the 21 year old half cheering but half thinking will I get back in.

Also massive for Ben Stokes. One of the leaders of this side now at 25 and he surely will be beaming with confidence tonight when they get back to the hotel.

Jason Roy got a score. Still think he could play in the longer form of the game.

Well done to Rashid too. Got wickets today when their players were looking at targeting him. Have that those Yorkshire fans that questioned the bottle Rashid got

Great win indeed, not watched it, but have they missed anybody at all with a win like that?

They have players out for different reasons. Injury to Plunkett let Ball in. He gets 5 wickets.

I don't think Root or Cook should go to Bangladesh. Does Broad need to go either? Not for me. England are unlikely to want to play 2 new openers together and a different number 3.

Cook is in Bangladesh. He was right next to Willey when he made that brilliant over the ropes catch

Only thing I can think then Safety. He's not meant to be playing in the warm ups. Maybe without Morgan he/ECB wanted a senior captain.

I'm not sure. I just hope they all stay safe and learn about sub continent cricket a little bit.

I was working yesterday during the game and was quite surprised to learn the coverage was talksport 2 and not the BBC. Anyone know if it's just for this series or have tgeylost a lot of future games too?

It was mentioned that the folk who sell the rights to matches in Bangladesh were asking astronomical amounts, so the BBC pulled oy for this series, but a fee was agreed eventually but was too late to arrange for the logistics for this ODI series...

Should be back to BBC for the tests.

I doubt that the 25,000 or so who were there yesterday would agree with you.

Bangladesh used to be "non-league" standard but they are not any more. They gave us a good game yesterday and I would expect the rest of the matches, one day or test, to be similar.

I followed it on and off all day and it was brilliant seeing Duckett get a 50 on his England debut - Yorkshire should forget looking for overseas talent and just sign him up, whatever the cost. I've seen him dominate our bowling a number of times in the last couple of years. Looks like a fantastic international prospect.

Jake Ball had a good one as well. You can't argue with five wickets. Some lad from Durham didn't too badly either :)

They've had the same porblem with India in the past, well Sky have. They start making crazy things up. Sky couldn't have a tv room last time they went so in the end they did it from london with Micheal Atherton been the only one out their. He was out in India because he also does Newspaper colums

My general point was that there's way too much of it being played - nothing against playing Bangladesh though. Too much just devalues the game imo. In 6 or so months no one will remember the result.

Yes, can't disagree with that. There is too much cricket being played worldwide but that's the commercial world we live in. Maximising the earning potential for everyone involved I suppose.

I didn't even know the game was on until I got an email about it from Now TV but it was certainly good watching, even though I kept dipping in and out of it. I watch it free on my phone by the way, courtesy of my Vodafone package.

Doing the same today with the second game but I am about to go out for a bike ride, so will hopefully catch the end of it.
