All I will look at is like for like with seating ect and a travel. Not sure I would want to be driving anywhere in london plus how would it cost less to travel to Leeds. How much is the congestion charge in London
No congestion charge at Weekends, and Brentford is miles away from the charging zone. I'd never drive into Central London, but a lot of the grounds are fairly easy to drive to. Went to QPR when Robins was in charge, 3 hours, parked up at Westfield, four in the car, about 10 quid each splitting the fuel.
What are you talking about? How would it cost less to travel to leeds? Because it is closer You wouldn't want to drive to London? I don't care, I wasn't talking about you. You will only compare like for like travelling? It's the same car
I know for a fact that the 73 quid I am spending for me and kids on tickets for leeds tomorrow will be a lot less then what I spent on a weekend in Brighton. I know you can get to Brentford cheaper than watching Leeds game if you book trains early etc, but anyone who doesn't go to Leeds and then pays our extortionate £27 coach prices want their heads looking at. For someone who goes to matches with 2 kids, BFC completly price me out of going on official coaches.
The better fan shtick is both offensive and not particularly correct. Other people have mortgages and children and cars and pet giraffes to look after. I'm going to Brentford and it will definitely cost me less than if id be daft enough to go to Leeds. I once went 7 years without missing a game home or away doesn't make me a better fan than you. When I lived in London I had a season ticket and came up for every game doesn't make me a better fan than you. I could have gone to the game for free today in corporate but choose not to do so. I could easily afford to party £42 quid this afternoon but choose not to do so. Does that make you a better fan of course not just means we have different values and principles. As Jay has said more eruditely in a different thread you go to watch the team it doesn't necessarily make you a supporter of the team given the way you constantly criticise certain individuals who are part of that team. Onwards and upwards.
Don't rise to it , it's only jealousy .....you've bagged yourself the bargain of the century , there's a few more wish they could secure such a shrewd deal .
You don't half come out with some immature nonsense Phil. There are a lot of people who care just as much who won't be going today for a variety of reasons - in many cases they have something that is completely alien to you - principle. It could be argued that they care more because they are trying to make a difference but with attitudes like yours prevalent amongst some fans they are pi55ing in the wind.
Congratulations. You get to add sanctimonious ***** to the list of questionable attributes on your CV. You are no more of a Barnsley fan than me or anyone else who made a conscious decision to stay away today due to the ludicrous ticket prices. You care about them no more than any of us. It could be justifiably argued that you actually care less, given the glee you seem to take in criticising our better players when they have an off day. You came across as borderline insane before this latest *****; now I think certifiable is a better description.
Griffin Park is right next to the M4. There is no need to drive in the centre of London, not that there is anything difficult about that. I have done it many times without a problem. Forget the congestion charge - no need to go near it. M1, North Circular, Chiswick Roundabout, A4 and into Brentford. Couldn't be easier!
Glad we are having a break before then give us chance to find some form..... Brentford are a good side a better side than leeds will be tough.... made up alot of the better players from leagues 1 and 2 over the past few seasons. Looking forward to it tho
Similar to us in that they have populated their team with lower division players. Dean Smith raided his old team for a couple. Should be an even contest but very hard to get a result there. Historically not a happy hunting ground.
Yes he took sawyers and Rico Henry from his old club walsall he also signed Bentley the goalkeeper who was at Southend last season and John egan from gillingham the only.one they paid a fee for was Henry. Good business that, they also have Scott hogan who they signed from rochdale a few seasons back had a set back with injury but he sorting again now.
