Tickets: Brentford Away! - More from the official site... 30-09-2016 05:00 PM
So for around the price of just a pay on the day ticket to Leeds you can have a day out in London, stand whilst watching us and have travel chucked in. Bargain.
You're talking nonsense First of all, why would anyone be paying on the day. These tickets have been on sale for a while now. Travel plus coach with the club for a like for like tickets 55 pound. Train from Barnsley to brentford club tickets about 93 pound. (without food or drink on a long day. surely 20/30 quid if you're been tight with spending) I'm doing Leeds away Train, Match ticket 42 pound ish. I'll not spend 55 pound tomorrow if I eat and drink in Leeds So happy with people trying to pressure on here people to boycott people have stuck two fingers up and going tomorrow to which surely will be our biggest away attendence 2016/2017 season so far. The people who will make the journey tomorrow are people that care and will get behind the men in Red.
42 quid for an adult ticket. At Brentford you can get in for 23 and on a cheap pub coach there will not be much in it and that's without me bringing Leeds travel into it. Was only making a point that a day in London to see stand watching us is better value than a short trip to Leeds for poor seating.
You're comparing things that are different too DB3K. Pay on the gate to pay in advanced. Seated vs standing Local rivals to one of a few normal teams Honestly i'd be amazed if anyone that went to Brentford got within 30 pound of my spending tomorrow. The pub coaches means you're somewhere at about 10/10.30 in the morning. 2 (not many will do this ) pints an hour 4 hours. food down south 40 quid min
Booked train return 30£ , two tickets for match 34£ Brentford , paying 62£ plus train fare for Leeds. More looking forward to Brentford game too
He has got a point Brentford, £23 quid for ticket then £20 on manx coaches=£43 I live one stop on train from Leeds and I know for a fact that would cost me over a fiver return, the club buses would be more so same price as leeds you can travel Brentford and your ticket for less than leeds.... not trying to put folk off just saying
OK one last try for you........ * The cost of going to Leeds and Brentford based on pre purchased adult ticket and a pub coach won't be that different in value. * One game is in a **** ground with restricted viewing, the other a rare chance to be allowed to stand without the fear of stewards throwing you out. * One is for a few hours on a short journey. The other a full day out in our capital. I'm not on about people going to Leeds or giving Celino their cash or even that Leeds is expensive (even though it is). I'm saying that watching us at Brentford is a bargain compared to what you get for many away trips this season.
Booked Grand Central from Donny a few weeks ago, £10.40 each way, so my trip to Brentford will be less than £44, which is less than the £10 train plus £37 ticket tomorrow. Brentford has the added pleasant prospect of any one of or all of the four pubs around Kew Green and the other four on each corner of the ground - as opposed to tomorrow's wilderness walk/bus from the station to that cesspit of a stadium in the middle of nowhere to sit with no legroom scarcely able to see Super Sammy's winner! Leeds will be business only, Brentford will be pleasure.
Wait you reckon that if I pay £23 for a ticket to Brentford then you can spend £42 to go to Leeds and still be £30 up on me?
All things being equal we should be taking as many to Leeds as we usually do to Sheffield. That isn't happening tomorrow (and never has in the recent past) due to the prices. We'd be taking at least 1,000 to 1,500 more fans if it was a Sheffield game (this season's likely price excepted).
Barnsley only took 3600 to Bramall lane last season for a crucial end of season game for many Barnsley fans a trip that they didn't even have to leave South Yorkshire for. I don't think many more would be making the trip over. Look i'll be going to ER tomorrow and GP in a few weeks if everything goes to plan .... For me it's the game i'm going to spend the least on all season.
For me travel from my house to Griffin park is £21. Travel to Leeds (via the same method) is £5 Ticket plus travel to Brentford is £44 Ticket plus travel to Leeds is £42
Crucial end of season? It was a must win for them really which ended any faint hopes they had of the play offs.... We haven't played leeds for a few seasons see how many we take next season if prices don't get capped
Like I said 1,000 to 1,500 more than what we will take to Leeds tomorrow. We took 3,694 to Sheffield United in the pub league last season and we've currently sold 2,351 for Leeds in the Championship. Thanks for helping me prove the point Hemsy.
