Couple of January's ago me, Marc, Jacob and 19 others went to see the Reds v Dundalk. A weird fixture at the time but probably my fave ever away day at the time. Delays, my first ever pint of Guiness, Dublin day sesh, treated brilliantly by their Chairman, free tickets from Crainie etc, free beers in the players lounge after. We were made so welcome it was heart warming.

Anyway ....., the Irish part timers have 4 points from 2 games in the Europa League after beating M.Tel Aviv toneet and drawing with Alkmaar.

I wish them all the luck of the Irish. Historic neet. First Irish team to win a group stage match.

    Zenit St Petersburg up next.

I've been keeping in touch with some of them, made good mates from that trip.
About 15 of them came over to the JPT Final and a few of us went to their FAI Cup Final last November. Looking at going over for the Zenit game, should be a good one

Where do Dundalk play their UEFA games? - I'm working a lot in Dublin over the next year or so, so might try to adjust flights to go to one if its possible.

Good One! After the JPT Final I was walking down Camden High Street on way back to hotel, a bit worse for wear and wearing a BFC shirt and scarf. About 10 lads standing in a pub door way suddenly shout 'You Redzzzz'. I had to join them for 'another'. They were all Irish and had come over to watch us based on an affiliation which started the day we played Dundalk. 2 hours later and well past closing time we were still in the pub where some Oxford fans had joined us. What a great end to a great day and after this weeks shame, a good example of what football is all about.

Correct, at this time in particular it's good to know football is better than the cretins that work in it and milk it like a cash cow
