Burton should get it just because of that running around the box thing we used to do from corners when he was in charge. It worked, too!

The players used to run like **** around the box whenever we got a corner.

It wasn't like just running to get a header onto the incoming ball with only a bit of movement... blokes were racing all over the place to try to confuse the opposition.

I thought it was fecking brilliant. We scored at least once from it.

Nowt he's just being his usual self. Unless being proud to be from Barnsley disqualifies you for the job.

Can't see how it could go beyond Bobby or Bunny and knowing that Bunny and Hecky are big mates, my moneys on Bunny.

I'd imagine it'll be Sir Bobby or Disco. No idea what either are like as coaches so don't really have an opinion

I'd like the lovely Debbie McGhee as Hecky's assistant. Given the magic he's performed since LJ fecked off, she'd be perfect.

Hassel, Disco Ramage all better players than Burton but non of them anywhere near him as a coach. Burton and Hecky have worked together for the past 6 years through the academy and into the senior team. They get on well and would compliment each other really well. Burtons strengths in coaching and motivation with Hecky being the calming influence in the partnership. Burton is Barnsley through and through is a local lad who has played at all levels for the club. He designed and instilled the club philosophy and takes no prisoners when exacting standards are not met. Bobby is a club legend but that does not guarantee him being a good coach. Too many times clubs go for the crowd pleasing appointment when the answer to the problem is under their nose. We try to promote and nuture promising talent from within on the playing side so why is it any different on the coaching side?

Sedgy the physio was promoted from the academy and so were the two previous physios, Nathan Winder the sports scientist started with the youngsters and is now with the first team. Ex academy coach Dave Kelly is with Man Utds first team as sports scientist and Matt Konapinsky a previous academy physio is with Liverpools first team so we have a track record of producing quality coaching and medical staff.

Give Burton the chance and I am confident he will deliver and in case you are wondering we are not related and I am not his love child !

Given the fact that Burtons career was curtailed at such an early stage been our youngest ever captain how can we possibly compare there playing careers and say xyz was a better player. We simply don't know

Heard he's a bit of a bully. Works with the kids, won't work with the mesters. Only one man for the job. Get Bobby in
