Much preferred Keith Hill to flicker. Flicker was an absolute ****. Found his interviews impossible to listen to in the end, just talked ****** and could reply to a yes or no question for 10 mins without actually fecking answering it Great what he did keeping us up that year but should never have reverted back to the shIye tactics that got us in trouble in the first place.
Ive not mentioned him but l can understand others, he was our manager in the not too distant very very dim past, you see, we see league one as a very dim past when looking at our history. What's your excuse for being on another teams forum, someone you've barely played over recent history and not even in the same league? And 96-97/97-98/99-00 were much better seasons than last, I'm not that tin pot to think that a league 1 play off and tin pot trophy would eclipse those seasons.
Not his biggest fan but if that's true I don't see the problem. The job of the coach driver is to drive a coach not be around the players who are around eachother most days.
Given the coach drivers propensity to spill the beans it sounds to me like Flicker made the correct decision
I remember going with the club to a away game a few years ago and the driver telling us about what flicker was like. He said he liked Keith hill but didn't like flicker so was hoping he would get sacked soon so he could go back to driving the team bus.
You don't see the problem in them being told to sit elsewhere? I presume they did their job of driving the coach and didn't try and sit and eat dinner with the players whilst they were supposed to be in the seat driving. Why shouldn't a person be able to sit with other people to eat dinner and instead be told that they are not good enough to eat a sandwich next to them?
Because the coach driver isn't part of the team and management. Grassing up stuff that ends up posted on a message board shows you've gotta be careful who you let into the group where sensitive stuff will be heard and seen that should remain private. The driver appeared to have loose lips so Flicker was justified in his cautious approach.
Good job we beat Millwall in May otherwise you'd have been back at Oakwell yesterday and we all know how that pans out for you dont we... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Coach drivers would never kiss n tell in the days of the 'whip round for 't driver'. I bet Hecky organises a whip round every trip. Cos he's class like that Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
I kind of see what you're saying but surely they could just not talk tactics over the dinner table? I think it's more that Flicker was all about creating an atmosphere of making them feel like 'special human beings' and so he didn't think the riff raff should be anywhere near them.
And remember this is the same 'manager' who claimed our training ground wasn't good enough so demanded all expense paid trips to the top training facilities round the country while ours sat empty. The man had delusions of grandeur and thought he was so much better than everyone else
If thats true about Flitcroft I think its disgusting. Hope him and his special human beings ****ed things up again like they did last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's not just tactics they can hear or see though. A player might talk about cheating on a lads night out, hear a comment that might be deemed offensive or many other reason.
Then the solution isn't to allow them to cheat on a night out and make offensive comments but make sure the outside world doesn't hear, it is t stop them being *****s in the first place
Just like a random person sat next to them in KFC or any restaurant could hear. I personally am able to keep things to myself that I dont want outsiders knowing and still able to converse with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
