Leeds boycott is going well

The ticket prices (although we had fair idea they would be high) were only announced on the Thursday as the idea was presented on the Sunday of boycotting. Not enough time granted, but you can't boycott something unless you have official confirmation of the price you wanted to boycott.

Yes you can you just plan the boycott and if the tickets are priced fairly then the planned boycott has been successful. If they are prices unfairly as expected then the boycott goes ahead.

Every away team has been charged 37 quid in the league so that was a good indication. Get your wendsday boycott going now because that will be 42 pounds.

Yes its over priced.
Yes I can see why people are pissed off about it.

Are people 'daft' buying a ticket for it? No.

People spent £30 going to watch Wolves away - I'm sure if you incorporated the whole travel costs of that match or even Brighton today - they're considerably more.

People blow £100+ on a night out on the weekend. Its personal preference as to what you can afford/decide to spend your disposable income on.

I don't like that its £37 and something does need to be done to stop ticket prices spiraling, but I'm not going to have a go at people who chose to buy a ticket.

 

Do they?- Jesus Christ!. I can get pissed on a tenner. How the hell do people spend £100 on a night round town?. No wonder people can't afford to buy a house.

 

Take the mrs out for a meal and drinks along with a cab can easily add up to £100. Day at the races + drink in town can easily come to £100+. Mrs to meadowhall on payday.....

... Not saying I regularly spend £100 on a weekly basis - hence me saying 'people' and not moi.

Lets be honest, there some folk about that will spend far more than £37 on entertainment.

the whole football pyramid and the way the money is distributed needs protesting against,we can start by how much money relegated teams get to keep their squad in tact and how little money promoted teams get to try and cobble a squad together so that they can even start to try and compete..ticket prices are just part of the problem,the whole set up is ridiculous.

 

You are talking about one-offs there, things you do now and again. Football is something a lot of people do 50+ times a season.

 

Take Mrs out for a meal and your going to spend more than £37 unless you take her macdonald's or KFC.

It seems wrong to label someone as daft for spending £37 on something they enjoy doing.

 

I've got a mate who will spend £20 on a bottle of wine for a Friday night. I don't begrudge him that despite the fact he can get a bottle of red for £5 at Tesco. A bottle of my favourite single malt comes in at £80, and I'll pay that even though I can get Bells for £14. I don't mind the distillery charging me that much, the business has to make money.

 

If you buy one twice a week, I'd be worried about your liver.
