Anyone know if I buy one tonight would I be able to use it against Villa or would I have left it too late to be delivered?
I know it's very unlikely but what if we sold 10k of these Flexi tickets. They couldn't all go to the villa, Newcastle, Huddersfield and Leeds games
No game is guaranteed. All you are buying is 5 vouchers that can be redeemed for match tickets subject to availability.
People would still moan like **** having left it to the last minute to redeem their ticket, no matter what the terms and conditions are
Tough. The only possible problem could be in the last 5 games of the season if they sell out and people haven't used their tickets but then tried to after it had sold out. For those games only we should perhaps hold back the number of seats for unredeemed flexis so that everyone can attend 5 games, even if it's not their first choice games (we wouldn't really be losing money by doing so as they have already paid for a seat and they could just be in random single seats that are left or in undesirable areas of the ground.)
I think delivery is available up to 3 days before but even then you can collect at the box office on the day. Tickets can be redeemed up to kick off.
People will have used them long before then I reckon. Be great to know the percentage of flexi ticket buyers that have all the so called 'Big Four' of Villa, Leeds, Wednesday and Newcastle as part of it. I bet it's way over half of all sales when it's done that have at least 2-3 of them.
You don't need to wait for a membership card to drop through your letterbox. It's applied to your on line account instantly and then when you look to buy single match tickets you have to option to use your flexible membership for the game selected. There was a minor IT glitch that took a phone call to resolve but it's a pretty good idea for someone like myself who gets to 10-12 games a year.
If people have any sense, of course they will use it for the most expensive games. There isn't much point using it for a £23 game is there. I can't go to midweek games, so I won't be using mine for Villa or Newcastle. Whether I use it for Leeds and/or Wednesday will depend on my work rota. You can't buy one after 31 December, so I doubt anyone will have any unused credits. I imagine it will burn a hole in the pocket of most people.
I presume we wouldn't sell any more flexis than homecapacity minus number of season tickets. Flexi ticket holders would then have until a certain date to be guaranteed to be able to redeem their tickets, otherwise they go on general sale.
Think in that case the club could just impose a flexi ticket deadline, after that they aren't valid for a particular match. I can't see more than a few thousand flexi tickets being sold over the season though so I doubt it will become an issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Phoned today and paid the £85 extra on top of my Villa ticket - they've cancelled that booking and rebooked the same seat on the flexi. Picking up ticket and flexi-pass on Tuesday night
I think it's important that the ticket is available for redemption up until kick off and think that is a great step by the club. Many of the people who need a flexi are the people who can't book in advance so it would make it unusable for those people if they had to meet a deadline before each match.
Flexi ticket is just like any other form of payment. Still same responsibility with the holder to get organised and book a ticket as if they were paying with cash or card. If they don't and a game is sold out, that's tough. Doesn't entitle the holder to any sort of priority or privilege, which is how it should be.
