And my point is we should absolutely start Watkins because on ability and contribution to the team he does more than any other striker we have, not just because as you put he's overrated because he's the only striker that holds the ball up

I have seen Watkins have many an average game.

    And some mediocre ones.

He should not be down on the team sheet first without question - not when we've got Armstrong Bradshaw and Winnall.

He has average games yeah as all of our players do but like ive said before he's by far our most consistent striker and is also on his day our best striker

He's not our best striker - by which I mean putting the ball in the net - but he may well be our most consistent forward.

If you have Kent and Hammill bombing down the wings it does make you think about who to play up front with them.

Daft question really because we have several players in our squad at the moment who are shoe- ins due to ability, form or the squad options: Davies, Roberts, Hammill, Hourihane and Kent have no competition really. Scowen you could argue has Morsy now waiting in the wings. The really interesting position is the forwards with 4 credible players vying ( and a fifth injured) all with a good shout. I think unprecedented in my time as a fan ( 30 years)

Okay captain pedantic I see your point about striker/forward but whether Kent and Hammill play makes no difference to whether Watkins plays up front or not

Not really getting personal though is it your being pedantic about the definition of a striker vs a forward, not exactly personal is it, but if you want to use that as a cover for not having any more valid points then go on I don't mind

    Hourihane.

    Followed by Roberts.

Davies is an automatic choice but mainly because his main challenger is abysmal.

Ryan Kent - not for form or ability, but because he's under 21 and on loan from a Premier League club :D :D :D

Personally I would also start with Watkins but there are realistic alternatives - there are not for Hourihane and Robbo
