Watched it earlier & left a bit baffled about what they're trying to achieve.

Mourinho seems to only want players over 6 foot in his team. Big & physical but little idea how to break teams down.

Maybe Mikhitarian is meant to be that player who can create chances but he's got a lot of improving to do judging by his derby display and I can't believe it's 2016 & Rooney & Fellaini are still getting in that team.

Can only imagine what the Spanish managers thinking when he see's Mata & Herrera sat on the bench whilst Rooney & Fellaini keep getting starts.

Fellaini just seems to do a Frimpong impression every game, running around kicking people giving away stupid free kicks.

And I've no idea what people see in Pogba to call him world class. I've seen him play about 15 times now & I don't think I've ever thought he was more than average in any of them. I'm sure he's talented to have gone for that fee but he's not showing it. I just think for that kind of fee you want someone who can create chances & come up with moments of brilliance like De Bruyne & Silva do for City.

United are a long way off City.

Makes it even funnier that Mourinho didn't rate De Bruyne

Personally don't think Mourinho has been as good as he thinks he is for years now. I like Pep though - and I'm glad he's bossing it with city and quieting the people who said hes had it easy with Barca and Bayern. Absolute fantastic man manager, tactical nous, hard grafter and always demands more. Love it. Weve definitely got the Championship equivalent in Hecky :D :D

Same here. I love managers that improve players rather than just throwing money around & complete packages. He's doing a great job with Sterling for one.

Totally agree about Jose. He seems to me to be a bust flush still dining out on past glories.

Always always the referee's fault as well when it's defeat for him. When it's in his favour though they're only human.

He's good at blaming anybody and everybody for his own shortcomings. In reality he's a narcissistic, self absorbed areshole with a dangerously over inflated ego.

I think Mourinho had a very specific formula at Chelsea during the glory years and bought players to fit into his style of play very precislely. It worked for a while, then at Inter in a defensive minded league the same formula worked a treat. But now, he's having to adapt to suit the values of Manchester United, with an unbalanced and tired looking squad of players. I don't see Mourinho easily changing his pragmatic tactics but is clearly trying to be more attacking. What's left is a mess basically with players all over the place. It might be an uncomfortable season or so at Old Trafford.

That's a good point, he's always had a set system with players suited to each position playing that role but he has no idea who to play wide & he's got 4 players in Rooney, Pogba, Mata & Mikhitarian who probably see themselves as number 10's.

The Rooney issue is a massive problem. How long can he justify not accommodating his 2 new midfielders in their best position in order to keep playing Rooney?
