There's 7 turnstiles grove street side of ponty end. Only 4 of those were open (2 of which were cash only) queues a mile long just to get in at 2:30. Scowen should never have started if he required a fitness test before game. He was way off pace, especially in first half. Too much ground to cover in CM to play a half fit player. Bad decision from Hecky imo. What the fook was Davies playing at for the pen. The lad took a heavy first touch & ball was going out of play. Adam thought what a great idea it would be to baseball slide the lad. End of game, 2 great exit gates, only 1 open. Shambles of a day
I was in at haalf 2 , used the turnstiles at the far end of ponty ( east stand side) and got straight in , sithi.
Cheers for that old ****.....i've just wasted 2 minutes of my life reading that mate! Get thi sen a few jars for house tonight n go n volley next door neighbours cat or fence...tha'll feel on cloud 9 agean!!
I started queing to the left of the ponty in the massive Que. Then I realised they was no Que at the other end so I walked to the other side of the ponty and got straight in no messing maybe try that next time. Hope this helps
Are you referring to the turnstiles into the Ponte End on Grove Street? If so I got there at 10 to 3, there were 6 open, 4 of which were for ticket holders and walked straight in. This was after being in a queue round the other side. The stewards there were directing us around to that side and literally nobody was listening to them. I purposely joined the long queue to give myself time to eat my bacon and sausage sandwich from Oakwell sandwich shop and left the queue when I got to the end of it (the sandwich not the queue, that would have been madness). Walked straight in. I noticed that one of the gates was closed on exit which did create a bottleneck. Sent from my phone using my hands
Post of the weekend. Davies & Scowen to man turnstiles next home game. All children, animals and sharp objects to be removed from Monk Bretton, soon as poss..
First game next month. Back in the UK 29 Sep so I am in time for my first visit to Elland Road since the early 1970s, and we could only DREAM of playing them back then!
So it was a smart move by Davies was it?????? As was his unwillingness to claim a ball 4yrd from his line. Roberts made 2/3 excellent blocks first half as a result of this
My apologies, must have imagined it all. As was seeing Beth Sefton flapping like a **** to get the queues darn
