We were torn apart before the sending off - two bad goals - no need for Davies to dive in and their player was allowed to walk through for the second. We were two busy protesting about the foul. They should have been down to 9 for the stamp. Think we lacked any physical presence - it was a game crying out for Marley. Would leave Winnall out of next game as he doesn't seem up to speed
Does that mean Reading got what they deserved ? If so I strongly disagree as our approach play was lacking our normal standard we certainly didn't deserve to lose imo.
Haha, the penalty. No, it was certain, clear cut. Too much blood rushing to Davies head. Reading yes, they got what they deserved. Simply outplayed us for 30mins, scoring two goals which we don't do when on top in the first half. McCleary got sent off, the gem in their pack and so they defended well for the rest of the game. (Bar a few of their goalies flaps, they got lucky nobody had a tap in). Ref watching for the 2nd, foul or not. However, never say die attitude was fine by me. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Definite penalty but Reading didn't deserve the points with their habitual timewasting. Everytime they had a goal kick or throw in. Their keeper must've wasted half the match picking the ball up.
It was a nailed on penalty, we can have no complaints at all about it. There second could and would have been stopped if we'd been more professional when Scowen didn't get the free kick.
That's how I saw it. We've lost a game and on balance I can't say Reading didn't deserve the points, for all our pressure in the second half. No need for a fuss though. We're not going to win every game.
If that pen had been for us and not given you'd have not liked it. Penalty all day long but still needless to give away with how wide of the box it was. The second goal we broke a fundamental rule that you should always play to the whistle. Had we done so I don't think they would have scored. Cracking strike though we've had a fair few in the top corner for and against us already.
