Depends which team is willing to give him a free ticket for Wembley.

Got to say you are a delightful poster. Put that guy from Bristol to shame. Are you coming up to the game today?

I personally haven't got a problem with someone who moves away from their home town and then watches the football team local to them. I don't think it means they no longer have an affinity for the club from where they grew up and I perfectly understand why they want to see the big games that club play.

We're all much more than how much time we dedicate to a football club.

bah, I was a season ticket holder many a season, but then moved to Spain (got a Spanish wife), don't really get back much as I'd like to be honest. But I was a founding organizer-mod of the 'Royals Rendezvous' forum, and do most of their sort of "outreach officer" stuff. We're a friendly forum, wind-ups isn't our stuff ...

I know that we've got quite a few who watch BFC who don't originate from the area but moved there later on in life. In fact I've never lived in Barnsley at all, but they're the only team I've ever supported. I can't imagine changing teams, or even feeling particularly passionate about another club. I watch Zenit from time to time, but can't ever make myself care a toss about their result, no matter how hard I try.

I probably wouldn't have been a Barnsley fan if my grandad hadn't started watching us when he moved here from Scotland many many years ago.

Last year when we went to Wembley for the play offs the Times robbed my Michael Parkinson season ticket joke from Better RED I was impressed how thorough they'd been even I don't have that issue. Should've sued though

Really? Same story for me. My grandad came to Bolton on Dearne from the Fife area to work down the pit. He was a very useful striker in his days and if I remember correctly had trials with Dunfermline and Hearts - but he liked his whiskey and ale too much and ended up being a miner. What might have been eh? Apart from me being a Cowdenbeath fan and wandering round in a kilt and sporran.
