Read this in the pub earlier.

People ridicule his style, but the man is the MAN.

Lets hope he stays as leader, ensures Labour never get back into power. Could you really imagine him on the world stage?

It's all about opinions, and everyone's has to be respected. But here is a man who has voted against the then leadership of the Labour Party on several hundred occasions during his time in Parliament. Yet he now expects others to fall in behind him if he wins. His stance on Trident, whilst a perfectly reasonable stance in itself, is contrary to established Labour Party policy as voted for in conference. His failure to maintain the confidence and support of his fellow MP's, whoever you balme for that, goes against the first article of the Labour Party constitution (have a read). Whatever the rights and wrongs of his position on many issues, he will never win a general election for Labour - purely in my view of course. Whatever the result in a handful of by-elections since he became leader, the situation in a general election would be different. And I know that's not least of all because of the undesirable effects of the Tory press. But you can only do anything if you can get elected - provided getting elected is what you're really after, of course. Attracting large crowds of your own supporters is fine and well - ask Donald Trump or Nigel Farage. But persuading swing voters in the wider country is a different ball game. I'm afraid I won't be voting for him, and I wouldn't be voting for a moderate Labour candidate who fell in behind him for reasons of self-preservation. Just my view of course, and my vote.

I hope so. Rather than a warmongering fascist like Theresa May.

    Theresa May
It really shouldn't be this way
    I know you lied
You were a brexiteer inside ....

I'm afraid it doesn't at all.

It does demonstrate that he voted in the minority many times. Showing that he's true to his own beliefs. So he ought not to be too disappointed when the vast majority of Labour MPs sod off in another direction to him - cos that's what he's done himself all his life.

He's morphed into a leader cos he's been voted in as leader. Of his party at least.

    S'abart it.

I do not doubt the man has high morals. And I applaud him for that. When you look at his voting record he almost always votes for "the right thing". However sometimes tough decisions have to be taken. Action against IS, Trident to name two of the popular ones used to bash Corbyn.

Whilst he has great ideals does he have the capability and understanding to lead the U.K.? His fiscal plan has yet to be explored. It is very very easy being the opposition. Having all the great ideas without making any tough calls or actually having to run the treasury.

    For those interested, his full voting record is shown here;

He's popular with a very narrow group of people which will probably ensure he is re-elected as leader of Momentum (cough), I mean the Labour party, but I predict the Labour party will split as a result and most importantly he will never be PM.

But that is part of what is going wrong. This belief that anybody in the Labour party that don't fall into line are 'Tory Lite' is such a myopic opinion. They're still Labour.

I don't often agree with Alistair Campbell but I did last night when he said that Labour need to reach out to these people - Tories and Tory Lite to win an election. Without widening the appeal JC and his politics has there is no chance of them being elected.

Saw him in Barnsley when he came to give a speech last week. Best speech I've heard from a politician since Kinnock and Thatcher used to battle it out.

The labour party leader, who took up his position after an overwhelming majority of labour party members voted him in, came to our town, he addressed us from outside the NUM buildings as we stood on Victoria Road, he held up an Orgreave truth and justice T-Shirt as he spoke of a fairer society with health care, education and opportunities available to all.

I didn't see any Barnsley labour party MPs there the treacherous *******.

I just can not understand why people of working class backgrounds pull to pieces people like Corbyn who is trying to help them get on in life.
As an ex coal miner who stood up to Tory's in 1972 and 1984 and did numerous 1 day strikes for the Nurses in the 1970's in helping get a fare wage plus many other things, i can see them times coming back and people like some of you who spill hatred against a good man make me fecin sick.

Corbyn holds certain views that i am in agreement with. However his staunch republicanism, more pertinently his support (well documented ) for the wonderfully murderous IRA lets him down somewhat. He attended many rallies and commemorations of the 'fallen' terrorists. This was a personal choice, it was not part of any political dialogue or negotiation. Please google.
