By my reckoning, we will have to beat them last match, taking full bonus points, whilst at the same time hoping Somerset slip up.

We could really, really do with pulling this one round over the next two days - a result v Somerset would make us worthy of the name Champions.

Think we'll still be ahead of Somerset if we get maximum bowling points and stop them getting 5 batting points won't we?

Now Somerset are out, bat through until early Thursday, set them a 200+ target and bowl them out cheap. Simple :)

They've got 7, we've got three. Potentially, after this round of matches it will be:
    Middlesex 223
    Us 204
    Somerset 203

Unless we salvage something from this match, we are going to have to beat Middlesex at Lords by gaining full points and them very few ! !
