Irish Sun reporting Old Firm clubs + Wigan & Villa after ar'Conor. Best chance of keeping him is carrying on our good form. Can't see him swapping top 6 Championship for a sideways move or a move over the border to what's basically a nothing league.

Wigan definitely won't get him, as for Villa it's very possible if they go up again. Celtic can pay whatever they want in wages for him and it will be a massive help for his international recognition, hardly a sideways step playing in against Barcelona in the Champions League. As for Rangers, not too sure. Aren't they struggling financially?

Rangers & Celtic could technically sign him up with 6 months left on his contract with a pre-contract, fingers crossed we're doing well come Christmas.

I get what you're saying about Celtic & UCL football, but he might get one or two huge games there per season - most of the time he'll be playing Ross County, Kilmarnock and crew. Good clubs in their own right, but it isn't Championship level IMO.

...wow that felt Wednesday of me.

I'd be very disappointed to lose him to anyone other than a Premier League club. But, as you say, it's not really up to us any more - we just need to keep on performing.

By the time Celtic could sign him, they'll be out of the Champions League for this season and will have to qualify again next year...

Good point. Ultimately if he goes to the SPL or another Championship club it would be for money. Here's to hoping we're performing well come January and Conor is enjoying his time here.

Very true mate. But it still would be very more realistic than qualifying with us. I think he's better than Celtic anyway, Premier League class and SPL is full of Premier League cast offs.

In fairness, coming from County Cork there's a better than evens chance he is a Celtic supporter. So his motives may not just be about money if he goes there.

I lived in Waterford, Co. Waterford from Feb 2014 to Nov 2015, and almost everyone was a Leeds fan there. Couldn't reckon it

My wife's American and we couldn't get a UK visa because of the new tough rules for non-EU spouses, so had to use an Irish/EU backdoor. Long story, but got her residence card here - just glad we did it before this whole Brexit thing came about!

The number of times your user name has made me hungry and sent me to the chippy is scandalous. When the nhs is privatised my obesity related medical bills are coming right to your door step.
