    Hey - that's a good idea - I'd support that.

    I mean - 'The Reds'.........which numbskull named them that dull, boring, run of the mill name - lots of clubs are called that!!! - including Nottingham F, Man U, Liverpool

    We have got a unique name in 'TYKES' that not only people of Barnsley can relate to, but the whole county of Yorkshire can relate to.
    And if you want to sell owt.......just slap a Yorkshire sticker on it
    No one has a greater love for their county like Yorkshire folk have

    We have a marketing opportunity at Barnsley that's a no brainer - but I personally believe the club will not approach it because of the fear of what some of the fans might think of any change - even if that change goes someway to improve the income of the club.

    Just shows when I put my mind to things etc etc

    And as expected - my post was followed by small minded posts 'little old Barnsley - we have never had nowt and we don't want that to change now'.
    Which is typical of many Barnsley fans - and its something the club is unwilling to challenge
