    Binks, Sharpe, Wilson, Hampshire, etc

    Legendary names bringing the title back to Yorkshire three years in succession.
    The current crop are trying to emulate them while hampered by the fact that four players are currently playing tiddlywinks cricket for England at Old Trafford. A game whose result will probably be forgotten inside a fortnight.

    The players love it, the fans love it, the County's love it.

    Could the players you mention even play this form of the game? How many of the players could play the reverse sweep or scoop?

    Boycott S/R in ODI cricket was 53. Root and Bairstow could get that without ever playing a scoring shot

    I'd have loved to have seen some dopey fecker try to play a Dil scoop to Garner, Holding, Roberts, Croft or Marshall!

    Given that central contracts didn't exist back then, it is impossible to say it is wrong that Yorkshire's England players are playing for England. However the frustrating thing is that Root and Bairstow, and perhaps the other three have been 'blocked' from playing by the ECB. Bairstow isn't even centrally contracted.

    It would be ridiculous if Willey, Plunkett and Rashid couldn't play for Yorkshire next week and the week after given how little cricket they've played recently, although only Rashid would probably get in Yorkshire's side in the CC

    Yes you are. You come on ranting about respect and in the same sentence you have a pop at some of the greatest players to have graced the game.

    I don't care what you think Bumble meant because you almost certainly misinterpreted it just to prove your agenda. Methods are different now, training is better, coaching is far better and if some of the great players from the past were around now with the talent they had they would still be great players capable of doing what your latest crushes can do.

    Grow up and you show some respect.

    I don't really have an opinion much on him Conan.

    Prior got 40/41.

    Bairstow's avg is on the way up. He's got a run in the team now. He got low scores when he was in and out of the team.

    It's only ok for someone to be disrespectful when it's you towards Yorkshire legends. We have no idea how Boycott ect would have done in T20 because they never played it.
