They weren't my top 5 mate. They were just examples asking how much they would be worth in today's market

Bruce Dyer? The entire team that got promoted were better than him. Nice bloke though.

That I've seen > Glavin, Redfearn, De Zeeuw, Mick Mac, ian Evans
Honourable mentions to Dave Watson, David Currie and Nicky Eaden.

How much would they all be valued at, at today's prices?

Redfearn. 10 goals from midfield in prem - £15m
    Glavin - £6 million
McCarthy to City now - £12m
    Taylor - £30m
    Ernie Hine - £10m

Bit strange with those prices, that Stones has just gone for 47million.

    Stones hasn't started yet though.
    Taylor never got the chance.
Glavin the most talented, but "personal stuff" messed things up a bit.
McCarthy about on the nail I reckon.
    Hine ... hmm can't coment

All post WW2 selections I note. No place for the teams that won the FA Cup, who finished third in the old First Division? It is a no go question for me.

If you'd ever seen Taylor play, he would have fetched as much as a Ronaldo or Messi. Look at his data and argue with me.

I liked dyer I was only 13 back in 2000 when we got to the play off final under bassett so my memory maybe abit blurred, but I enjoyed watching him he knew how to put ball in net. We have had alot worse strikers. I only started watching Barnsley in 1996 promotion season. I have never seen glavin, evans or currie kick a ball. I was just using examples from.my time of watching bfc.

The thread is about "in their prime" though.

Is Stones in his prime? Yet look at his fee.

May be at his prime transfer value, as won't be leaving City any time soon. Not at half his potential as a player yet I reckon.
