Missing 40 programmes in all that time , got to be worth some cash all his collection

 

maybe we should start an appeal to find the missing 40 for him... if we knew which they were.

 

I once met Arthur down at Oakwell and he asked me if I'd like to see whats in his hand.I replied can't we go for a meal first.Ok I'm joking about that part but he had borrowed a 1912 cup winners medal from PC which he wanted to show me.

 

Much improved. They put a photo on the Twitter page earlier today with the stats of our past meetings with Preston, I personally love that kind of stuff and found it brilliant.

 

I went to school with & played football with his other son, Tony.

I've been very lucky to call Arthur a true friend over the last 20 years and we always meet up for a chat outside Redfearns on Saturday home games. If your interested in the clubs history why not come along and introduce yourself. He's very kindly allowed me access to his programme collection and over the years I've catalogued and scanned all his programmes from 1944-5 season to 1967-8. I make it he is 39 programmes short of a full set but the remarkable thing about this figure is that it is mainly friendlies and matches we are not even sure took place. Overall he is missing just 14 League and Cup games with the majority being away fixtures from 1953 to 1955 when he was doing National Service.

Heres what I think is missing. From my point of view I would like a digital image of any of the following for our records.

Like I say we meet up at about 2.20 outside Redfearns on Saturday match days and also half time Gangway 12 in the East Stand Upper.
