    Ha, you might struggle to get a rise out of England fans these days mate. Some of us have finally given up the ghost of hope and expectation when it comes to the national team. That's on top of feeling alienated from Premier League 'stars' for years.

    The penalty was hilarious, he stubbed his foot in the ground and fell. The new FIFA directive also says it should be a yellow rather than a red if a penalty is awarded. Looked decent after that to be fair.

    Its not that I don't support my country Ian, but just that I no longer identify with most of the players who play for England anymore. That's a direct result of the Premier League circus for me.

    I watched the mighty Scotland pump the mighty Malta tonight in the pub and without a word of a lie I struggled to recognise half our team. I even asked my mate who the guy Burke was. Apparently he is the guy who has appeared from nowhere to sign for Leipzig.

    TBF Malta are good but not that good to score double figures against you lot.
    If England managed to keep Malta down to 3 or 4 I'd say you will have had a successful night.

    Hi Ian, just in Malta airport now waiting on the plane back to East Midlands. Great result after a nervous first half, great weather and what a party all weekend!
