It is. And elsewhere in the stadium.

    And rightly so. Top work.

Question for club: According to this site: http://www.levelplayingfield.org.uk/clubs/barnsley and a report someone mentioned earlier, we are not up to minimum standards in terms of meeting the needs of disabled supporters (despite our fantastic Disabled Stand). If this is the case, is the club looking at increasing the number of wheelchair spaces?

This part is a very naive question that I'm not suggesting is put forward, just asking people on here really... Does anyone know how much it actually cost to build/costs to maintain? I know nothing about the stand other than that it is over subscribed so I guess it is good. I know there is a waiting list for spaces in the Disabled stand, is there any chance of it being extended or a similar stand ever being built in one of the other corners or is it far too expensive?

Quote from the site linked to above which was updated last month (I have no idea how accurate it is):
    'Spectator Viewing areas

Home supporters have 59 wheelchair user spaces available to them, and these can be found at pitchside and on a raised platform in the disabled corner stand. There are 18 elevated wheelchair user spaces for away supporters in the away section. There are designated easy access seats for supporters with ambulant disabilities which are available in the home and away end but this is not amenity seating.

NB: Under existing minimum standards for accessible stadia, the club should have 159 wheelchair spaces (135 home and up to 24 away). 75% of these should be elevated positions and the remaining 25% pitchside.

LPF's view is that many disabled supporters should be able to access general seating areas and only those with specific needs eg those who require extra legroom, or access via aisle seats or who need step free access etc should be allocated seats in the dedicated areas.

Based on the above, the club therefore only meets 48% of the guidance and has a shortfall of 82 wheelchair spaces. They should be working on a plan to rectify this deficit within a reasonable timeframe under the auspices of a full independent Access Audit.'

Wrong, as other people pointed out. Leeds also allow. Please refrain from insulting people or try make them feel stupid when youre obviously wrong, again.

Some grounds don't so he's not completely wrong - we've been told on several occasions why we don't- accept it and move on to more important matters

The car park. When is the club taking some responsibility for the chaos leaving the car park. I understand a lot of the problems are the drivers, but surely we could have some form of policing to help with the flow.

I don't know if this has been already addressed so apologies if it has. Has the club put any thought into a safe standing section ? Its something I'd like to see at Oakwell and seems to work at Celtic.

Thats ****** HT. If your going to Preston next weekend buy a bottle of pop and you will get it complete with lid. I know some clubs take off the lids but these along with BFC are in the minority

Agreed we should ask them important things like how many thousands of pounds they think we have lost due to lack of replica shirts, as when they become available we won't sell as many in the colder weather.

Maybe they aren't bothered losing revenue that way with the Mawson and Stones money in the bank.

The (blank) price boards at the Ponty End turnstiles are all cracked. Looks ****. Not very becoming of a multi million pound business. Needs removing or replacing.

There is flaking paint all over the West Stand. Looks ****. Not very becoming of a multi million pound business. Needs painting.

The concourse on the Ponty End is beyond drab and depressing. Looks ****. Not very becoming of a multi million pound business. I've been on numerous concourses in my time and there can't be many worse than ours. Would it really hurt to give it a lick of paint and put a few pics on the wall? It wouldn't cost a lot or take long and it would brighten the place up and make the club look that bit more professional. Smacks of a can't be arsed attitude to me. Having said that, I've been in the boardroom and that was very plush so well done to the club for that.

100% this just ask one of them to try getting out at the bottom of the car park it's horrendous, have traffic marshalls or police controlling traffic on all pontefracte Road junctions. Someone must have enough common sense to improve this.

I doubt anybody in a senior position has ever been down to take a look at it let alone tried to use those exits, either as a driver or a pedestrian. Its rank dangerous and it shames the club that they allow it to happen match after match. And its getting worse as drivers become increasingly more impatient and aggressive. There IS going to be a serious accident. No question.

They've just put out an advert for car park attendants that specified that they only want them 3 hours before the match but not at all after it. That, coupled with the fact that they've made no attempt to improve the lighting situation, gives me the impression that they really don't care if anyone gets hurt. They certainly can't plead ignorance in any case.

For the Wednesday night home game against QPR they didn't open the little place that sells bottles of beer at the West Stand end of The Ponty. Why?

This put tremendous pressure on the food and drink outlet at the East Stand end of The Ponty and people were queuing for above 20 minutes at half time, which is hardly ideal when the interval is only 15 minutes.

To give you a clue about how busy the bottle stall is with the numbers we're attracting at the moment, the queue was still a couple of dozen strong after we'd kicked off for the second half against Rotherham, yet for the QPR match it wasn't opened at all.

Selling bottles of Carling at the price they do is a licence to print money. The profits must be astonishing, yet they don't seem to want our money. We no longer buy beer in the ground as it's just not worth queuing that long. That's about £25 in takings every match just from me and my mates.

We're not blessed with space behind The Ponty end, but there's that huge area where people smoke between The Ponty and The West Stand. Can't there be a couple of people selling bottles from there too? Their wages would be paid for in two minutes of selling, everything on top of that is profit.

A couple of years ago the group I go with would have spent anything between £500 and £1000 at Oakwell during the season. Now we spend nothing. If the queues were reasonable they'd still get that money. That's got to be looked in to and sorted out, surely?
