If you have anything you would like covering off at Wednesday's Fan Engagement Forum for Patrick or Linton etc please either PM me or post it in this thread and I'll do my best to raise it. Ta.
Threadstopper was complaining earlier about the slow service at the refreshment stands. Bottle tops again. When will Barnsley fans be allowed to retain their bottle tops? Who at the club actually made the decision to remove them in the first place? It's been asked a few times but has any answer ever been given?
Use your brain Supertyke. It's not the club stopping anyone. It's across ALL football clubs. Not sure if you watch much football outside of yorkshire but it's something that happens at every football club and if it doesn't then the police are straight on it and telling them. For example at Ipswich. Down at Portman road she left it on and I just gave it her and told her that she wouldn't be able to keep serveing people bottle tops on. 30 seconds later the police came to her and told her the same. It's common sence to most, but not all it seems.
I saw folk coming back from the refreshment stand in the Ponte with bottle tops attached at the last game so either there has been a change in policy or some new staff haven't done the bottle top removal training. I think Ben Mansford gave an answer along the lines that our fans may be inclined to use a full bottle of pop with a top on as a missile. I believe someone pointed out there are not many reds fans prepared to pay concourse prices to launch the contents. It is a bit daft. I know one ex-BBS poster who brings a bottle top to games because he regularly ends up pouring the contents down himself due to a medical condition. It's also pretty easy to take your bottles in with you if you wanted to. Anyway, I'm not raising it again. I know Patrick has told the story of the first fans engagement forum he and Maurice attended, without warning, where he says the most vociferous subject discussed was bottle tops. I'm not giving him any more ammo
Okay. Not what the poilce down at Portman road said. They were pretty harsh to this young lady. Also not sure of a ground you get the bottle top.
id just like to know sell on clauses for mawson and holgat and how many season tickets got sold all about the money
I must have imagined being allowed to keep a bottle top at Huddersfield then and imagined it at many grounds so before telling me to use my brain perhaps you should use your eyes
Serious question for Linton and/or Patrick. - I'd like to hold a bedding drive for Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity at a home game in the Autumn. Basically asking the supporters in advance to bring in any unwanted old blankets, duvets, sheets, towels etc, that the rescue centre can use for looking after the animals. BARC are always in need of bedding and it would be good to help out before new year, when they get extra busy with abandoned Xmas pets. I can arrange a vehicle and would just need a convenient spot to park up. We could publicise on social media etc.. I've emailed about it before, but that heartless Mansford fella never responded. I think it'd be a nice bit of community relations from the club and won't cost them a bean. Good publicity for the charity too. Cheers Paul..
I don't understand why at times the club seems to almost enjoy not giving an answer to questions. It's like they stand there laughing 'hahaha they're going to ask the same things again. We still won't tell them hahaha'. No offence to anyone from your side involved with the meetings but it almost begins to make them pointless when the club ignore or dodge questions no matter how many times they get asked.
It's been answered to be fair and I can't be arsed to find the exact answer. It's more about it being a bit daft and another example of a few idiots impacting the average football fan.
