Re: moncour That's weird because he's only been here for 2 months and he's not even played a game yet for the posh so why does he like them so much????????
Re: moncour I don't believe that to be honest. Maybe words have been twisted. He's probably been asked whether he's hoping to turn it into a permanent deal and said that you don't know what will happen. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Re: moncour Good on him if true. I'd rather leave and play regularly than bench warm where I'm currently at too if I was in his situation.
Re: moncour Although he is said to be an important part of our future plans, it's clear that he hasn't stepped up sufficiently to play our fast pressing game. Most probably, that's why he hasn't featured. His debut game was lacklustre and he drifted in and out of the game creating very little. There's no doubt that he's a talent but he's going to have to work much harder for his place. Maybe he's not prepared to do that or he feels that he is too far down in the pecking order to play regular football. Posh fought hard to sign him. Maybe he wants to go where he 'feels the love!'
Re: moncour They can have him... £2.5m if they really want him. We bought him from a L2 team. They are buying him from a championship team that don't need to sell. Couple of mill profit for a few months. Good work lads!
Re: moncour He hasn't been given an opportunity to 'step up' . I can see this from both sides , obviously the lad wants to play football and fair play to him for that because he could have just sat on the bench and picked up his wage .
Re: moncour Something wrong here. Moncur was our star close season signing, beating off stiff opposition etc. He's not been given a chance to show what he can do, so there must be something else going on. We know he can play, he's shown it at his previous club. Is it that he can't step up, or he's unwilling to wait until he's ready? Is it an ego thing? Is he a disruptive influence in the camp? We don't know, but to make signing and put him out on loan so soon isn't good. Having said that, we hope for more from our recent signings and hopefully we won't miss him, or regret letting him go and who knows he may find the Peterborough grass is not greener and come back with a greater determination. Somehow I'm not holding my breath on that one.
moncour Moncur just says the deal is until January and then will be reviewed in his Peterborough interview. We can watch him live on Sky tomorrow too. Not sure why people are kicking up such as fuss about this one. He could only play if we changed formation and with how well we've done in the first month that isn't going to happen. He's on a 3 year deal. If he gets 10 goals between now and Jan we've got a £1 million player on our hands. Or he may come back and play well for us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Re: moncour What we don't see or know about is what happens in training on a day to day basis. He may not be able to (or can't) adapt to the way PH wants him to play. His attitude may be questionable or be disruptive. His personality may not fit into a tightly knit group. Who knows but what I do know is that, despite his relaxed, friendly demeanour, PH is showing that he is also ruthless when he needs to be. Whatever happens, he's a talented lad and we will not lose money on him.
Re: moncour His daddy & him have decided that sitting on the bench isn't good enough & pushed for a move. According to chronicle anyway.
Re: moncour I think it's really poor that someone can write so patronisingly about a players career decision. How many times have we seen our star player move and career stalled due to not getting a chance? He isn't going to feature at the minute and that's all there is to it. Moncur, his dad and Hecky are all in agreement it's the best move for everyone and that's why the move has been agreed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Re: moncour According to the Chron that's not Hecky`s take on it. He wanted Moncur to stay and fight for his place but player and his Dad thought he was better than that. Smacks of a big ego to me.
Re: moncour It's not uncommon for a club to sign a young player and then immediately loan him out as he isn't quite ready yet to break into the first team. Don't see what all the fuss is about. It's not like he's only got 6 months left on his contract.
